Weigman will be interesting. Not to much to write home about in 2022. Two really good games in '23 against New Mexico and Louisiana-Monroe, a solid game against Miami (two picks though), and 8/14 for 70 yards against Auburn. I've gotta see more, but ascension is very possible!

You are all in on Dani Dennis-Sutton! Haha I like it! Dart that high is interesting! McMillan to LA would be great, Burden would be insane in a Stefanski offense. Giving the Chiefs Isaiah Bond is evil lol. You had me going nuts with Emery Jones because of the spelling, I thought you meant the QB.

The reason EW fell in the draft was because of his lack of turnovers at the safety spot, but Oregon wasn’t really putting him position to ball hawk.. the dude is a steal in the 4th round.

He very well could be! Reminded me a lot of Ji'Ayir Brown in that he's in great position so much of the time. Williams definitely hasn't had a ton of ball production in his career, but a lot of box/robber/MoF snaps will do that. Excited to see how he does on Sundays!

I knew he had talent. 40 inch vert showed up in film with how explosive he springs into tackles and blitzes. He might have just slightly stiff hips but his ability to pounce while adding in active feet will more than make up for it especially with more experience. I hope Hafley uses him as a big nickel against run heavy teams. He can switch in and out with Hopper/Wilson/Nixon based on subpackage. Had another thought that it would be ideal to actually use him and Cooper on 3rd and longs for when we want to blitz. They seem to be the best at just finding and bursting through those lanes after all.

Historically, I never get these things right, but for once I think I did? I watched all his tape, a lot of it early in the process, guy was around the ball literally every play, just didn't make all the plays. Shrine and Senior Bowl standout, I just felt really good when Packers moved up to get him, even though everybody wanted TJ Tampa. Great pick, Gute!!!
@aaiirssjoy
@aaiirssjoy 6 күн бұрын
There were 1v1 reps in the senior bowl too where he was really tight in coverage for the most part too. I think GB finally got safeties who can actually open field tackle while still having coveted cover skills in Bullard and Williams. I do like Oladapo too but I think he’s less made for pure slot receiver 1v1s & is more suited for 2-high and TE match ups - he seems more technical in knowing how to play conservative compared to Bullard and Williams.

It's looking very good so far! His process is very good, aside from a few mishaps here and there. Senior Bowl guys are really becoming the focal point for GB's process. I probably would've wanted McCormick or Cam Hart, but Tampa would've been interesting too. If Williams is very good, another Gutey 4th round masterclass.

Evan with 4 interceptions already in camp he's looked sensational as have all the safeties. We're all seeing now why Gutekunst gave up capital to move up & get Williams in the draft. Tape looks so good on this guy. It's amazing he went so late in the draft way he's playing. I'd love to see some of these guys take some of Keisean Nixon's snaps away in the slot. Go Pack Go!

hey i'm just digging into this mock myself umm it's really early so sure this is just a fun exercise, i do think there's somethings worth noting, Will Campbell, i mean certainly he'll be divisive, FOR MY MONEY, i think he's nowhere close to 33 inch arms. meaning he's more of guard projection and when he enters the guard world, i have trouble thinking theres ever been a better guard prospect than Tyler booker by comparison. by proxy can't play tackle, won't even be the best guard on the board, he needs to adjust his playstyle even transition effectively. i just think he's blatant fools gold if anyone really wants to project him that high, because theres real questions here, i don't understand being bullishly optimistic if anyone sees his build. realistic projection is saying he won't make top 15.
@JakeSchyvinckNFL
@JakeSchyvinckNFL 10 күн бұрын
Yeah the arm measurement for Campbell is definitely worth noting when that rolls around. Guard projection could be a little tougher just based on his build/body type, but you never know. As long as he continues to vary up strike timing as well as win early with strikes, combating length can happen for him. He's got all the balance/footwork/lean to succeed out there. Tyler Booker is very heavy handed and quick, will definitely be in the top 50 convo if not earlier. For me personally, Jonah Savaiinaea is tops right now on the interior, but Booker has the argument for OG1.

Day 9 Packers Training Camp Review: Jordan Love no interceptions yesterday good to see his ball control what made him great. Love only needs to continue to protect the ball in 2024 & prove he can play in the clutch. Sean Clifford 3 solid days after 5 day interception fest. Not get much love from his coach. Matt says Michael Pratt with a long way to go but making most of his limited opportunity. The WR/TE rooms are both very deep. Musgrave-Kraft-Simms-Davis a solid four starters. Tyler Davis has shown out making several big blocks to spring big run plays in camp. Luke Musgraves not making much of an impact yet only 1 strong day. Kraft still injured. Doubs, Watson, Reed, Wicks all locks, Bo Melton clearly WR5 Dubose vs Heath for W6. Watson made a couple of very nice deep passes Love over the shoulder into the bucket. Romeo Doubs the darling of this room past couple of days performing very well so far. Day 9 was Tay Wicks day to shine balling all day several great catches & great separation. Jayden Reed been very solid through most of camp since Love returned to lead this unit. Grant Dubose has been showing out performing Malik Heath challenging for WR6 now. Josh Jacobs MIA until 2 days ago now out with tweaked groin was about to call him Waldo! Packers paid for 2022 Josh Jacobs not 2023 Josh Jacobs very big shoes to fill this man. Marshawn Lloyd immediate impact already a big 50 yard run & nice pass catch yesterday. However a bobbled exchange with his QB the ball security issues continuing to haunt him. Eric Wilson has been the best RB in camp again this year like last another big run on day 9. AJ Dillion another showed up to camp very buff. He's looked more solid but still lacking. O line is a work in progress for sure. Need 2 legitimate starters to compliment Jenkins & Tom. Can Rasheed Walker build on his strong 2nd half & prove he's quality left tackle of the future? Can 1st round pick Jordan Morgan make transition to right guard & become a quality starter? Can Josh Myers play with more consistency in 2024 & finally reach his 2nd round potential? It's become evident GB will most likely start the season Walker-Jenkins-Myers-Morgan-Tom. Sean Rhyan & rookie Jacob Monk probably off the bench support to the interior at C & guard. Swing tackle has turned into the biggest battle for this group so far in Packers training camp. Kadeem Telfort a surprise getting most RT snaps after leapfrogging Jones & Tenuta on DC. GB hopefully able to fill this void by committee with Jones, Tenuta & the rookie Glover to help. Kenny Clark the anchor of the D line got his payday & a new contract for next 3 seasons. Matt was singing the praises of TJ Slaton speaking to how surprised his speed off the line. Devonte Wyatt should flourish his pass rush in this new scheme but run D's been abysmal. Karl Brooks shining the past couple of days of camp hitting his stride. Can't wait for year 2! Colby Wooden showed up buff for camp turning some heads hopefully a solid role player. Some good reports on Johnathon Ford a longshot to make the team in a critical year 3. Johnathon likely to be relegated back to the practice squad however with call up potential. Rashan Gary has been an absolute beast playing like a man possessed since day 1 of camp. Kingsley Engabare been sensational so far in camp recovering well from injury to end 2023. Luke Van Ness just had the best 4 days of camp he's had since he was drafted 1st round. Preston Smith Mr. Consistent has had a quiet training camp so far but he's aged veteran. Brenton Cox Jr. had been turning heads in the OTAs but has been much quieter in camp. He has legitimate shot to make this Packers team this season if he can play well in camp. LB core now has two patented run stuffing specialists in McDuffie & the young rookie Cooper. Will it be enough to fix the chronic problems GB has had with defending the run for years? Jeff Hafley certainly didn't have a stellar run defense with his teams at Boston College. Walker-Cooper-McDuffie lead this group with rookie Hopper & veteran Wilson off the bench. Starting 3 all with a strong start to camp to begin this season. Walker looking better so far! Xavier McKinney is leading the back end. So far in camp looking like he's worth every penny. Matt Lafleur today singing the praises for Anthony Johnson Jr. last years 7th round safety. The two rookies Evan Williams & Javon Bullard have been sensational to start camp too! Kitan Oladapo has been injured just returned to the field yesterday another with upside. The cornerbacks are also off to a fast start. Carrington Valentine now out with hamstring. Eric Stokes has been getting all the CB2 snaps. Both with several interceptions already. Jaire Alexander seems more focused at camp since day 1 even at the OTAs. Expect more! Even the 7th rounder Kalen King picked off Love for a pick six a couple days ago in camp. 1 thing for certain if this unit get turnovers like they have during training camp that be sweet! This revamped Packers D has won the day 7 of the first 9 days of this years training camp! The difference between the Joe Barry defense were going to wait for you to make a mistake. Versus the more aggressive Jeff Hafley defense were going to make you make a mistake. The idea of getting pressure with only 4 but also leaving an extra body in the box to help. I find it sad that Packers fans have the lynch mob out for Anders Carlson after 1 poor day! Remember until yesterday there was only 1 FG separating them that Joseph just gained. Carlson 4 of 7 yesterday while Joseph a stellar 7 for 7. Anders now 24/30 Joseph 28/30. I'll remind you all Carlson was 27/33 81% (Crosby took 3yrs to get to 80%) all 6 misses 40+. 5 extra point & SF miss (with an incompetent snapper) left a bad taste for GB fans in 2023. He is young kicker take time to develop. Carlson has a monster leg able to kick it 65 yards! I give Greg Joseph a ton of credit for his sensational kicking in camp but he's an old man. Joseph is a short term solution. Few growing pains but Anders a chance to be your career K. Unless Joseph just blows Anders out of the water last half of camp Anders will be your K! With that said Greg Joseph is certainly making it an interesting conversation at the moment. No excuses for special teams guru Rich Bisaccia this season. GM has catered him players. Tyler Davis best teams players in 2022 resigned. Eric Wilson & others were also resigned. Specifically Brian Gutekunst targeted many teams specialist in this past 2024 draft class. Has disputably the best kick returner in the NFL. New kick rules can only help his stats. 3 kickers in camp since day one plus a competition at snapper since day one of camp. It's time for Rich Bisaccia the special teams guru to earn his big fat paycheck this year! This team must avoid the injury bug for once & keep it's best players on the field in 2024. A big key for the Packers will be how these high price free agents & key signings contribute. Kenny Clark got his payday he needs to continue to anchor the D line & excel in new scheme. Josh Jacobs 11.5M RB MIA until the past 2 days in camp now out with a tweaked groin. A move I also did not like he has some damn big shoes to fill Aaron Jones a baller for sure! Both Xavier McKinney & Jaire Alexander also need to earn their big fat paychecks in 2024. These 2 guys can be all-pros if they can play to their potential & lead this unit. A top tier D? The other intangible is how good this 2024 draft class is & how much it can contribute. GB must have an improved O line & an effective run defense if they want to win Superbowl. Go Pack Go!

Jordan Love will get signed soon. My prediction before camp was this Friday, we'll see! Only way this becomes a concern if it stretches into weeks rather than days the wait. Love ain't going to play much in camp. Enough snaps to stay sharp & with his 1st team. I did hear Mike Florio saying structure is set its a money issue. Guaranteed $ most likely. After 3 days of camp "without pads on" the Packers defense has absolutely owned the O. Obviously the absence of Jordan Love & Zach Tom is certainly showing up early on O. Been no sign of our $11.5 million RB missing in action so far making zero impact to date. Matt said yesterday he expects Marshawn Lloyd back in lineup in next couple of days. AJ Dillion who showed up buff to camp was only bright spot on O with an explosive run. Emanuel Wilson looked good the first practice of the week don't count him out just yet. Sean Clifford struggled tremendously day 2 & 3 after a very decent day 1 of training camp. Michael Pratt continues to make the most of his opportunities making the competition close. Slow start on offense we've seen little from them so far. Although Wicks making some plays. Watson with three drops last practice not sharp yet. Reed in practice just back yesterday. Grant Dubose had himself a nice day too a big longshot to make the final 53 man roster. Not heard much at all from any of the tight end group so far either but good Davis is back. I must say I never would of thought it possible that Newman not be bottom of depth chart. But when you sign Andre Dillard & Andre Dillard shows up well shouldn't be no surprise! 6 years of failure we now see why he came so cheap & why TENN was willing to walk away. Certainly it's a bit of a surprise to see Telfort leapfrog Luke Tenuta & Caleb Jones as RT. Jones continues to struggle to be healthy but Tenuta who GB kept on roster 2023 is puzzling? Makes you wonder to why they'd not work Jordan Morgan there to possibly be a swing tackle. Although Morgan seemed to struggle his head swimming early moving all about the O line. Seems they've finally found a spot for Jordan Morgan to focus on playing RG past few days. Wish they'd move Jenkins to center but we know GB management Myers can do no wrong. Hopeful Rasheed Walker continues to build on his strong 2nd half & proves a quality starter. Sean Rhyan still has allot to prove yet I'm still very concerned he will hold up over the long run. It looking like the Packers will start 2024 O line with Walker-Jenkins-Myers-Morgan-Tom. It will be interesting to see if Jacob Monk can gets snaps at center & if he might play a role. Not expecting much from Travis Glover but if he could be a role player contribute be great. I continue to say the Packers ability to consistently stop the running game is paramount. 4 games vs run teams last season ATL, PITT, DET, NYG all of whom went 200+ on the ground. They make NFC divisional final they likely get their kryptonite SF & MVP Christian McCaffery! Jeff Hafley also did not exactly have a stellar run defense during his tenure at Boston College. Expecting snaps for McDuffie. Him & Cooper will be key pieces for GB shutting down the run. Like this LB core. Walker-Cooper-McDuffie the main players with Hooper-WIlson off the bench. Edge remains the status quo with Gary-Preston-Van Ness-Engabare & hopefully add Cox Jr. We know Karl Brooks has done well when outside although he's much more valuable inside. Luke Van Ness needs to step up after under achieving in year one for a very high draft pick. Kingsley Engabare the big surprise returning early to camp after injury to end 2023 season. Both Engabare & Gary have looked very good. LVN off to a solid start first 3 days of camp. This entire unit has had a tremendous start to camp so far. We need a more consistent Gary! D line off to a strong start in camp. Resigning Kenny big! A team friendly deal at right price. Kenny was greedy he'd likely been able to get 30 M in free agency. Plus GB can walk in 2 yrs. TJ Slaton must be more consistent. Devonte Wyatt must be allot better in run protection. Colby Wooden was another who showed up buff to camp he must play a role with D line. Karl Brooks was so good last season I am so very excited to see if he gets even better. I'd expect nothing but the same consistency from both of the big veterans Clark & Preston. The secondary was balling day 3 in camp with another 5 interceptions on the backend. Eric Stokes with his best performance of the preseason snagging 2 of those interceptions. Corey Ballentine disputably better than some others last season continues his play be ideal. Carrington Valentine continues strong play after adding weight & showing up buff to camp. He certainly seems much too good to be sitting on the bench if Eric Stokes does end CB2? Kalen King got some action in the slot yesterday with Keisean Nixon. Valentine a better fit? Certainly a big fan of replacing Keisean Nixon in the slot. Let him focus on special teams. Both Javon Bullard & Evan Williams are off to strong starts. Rotating with Xavier so far. Anthony Johnson Jr should not be forgotten either he's been just as good early in camp. Kitan Oladapo should be back soon according to Matt. Another guy with upside as well. Investment in draft capital this off season to the backend looks like its paying dividends. The difference in the Joe Barry defense - we're going to wait for you to make a mistake. Verus the aggressive Jeff Haffley defense - we're going to make you make a mistake. Like idea of trying to get your pressure with only 4 but also putting an extra body in the box. The principle of constant rotation to keep guys fresh should be ideal for Kenny Clark. Kenny taking 50-60 snaps a game has to really benefit him & Rashan Gary to stay sharp. The biggest key for this team is how this draft class & high paid free agents can contribute. We need 2022 Josh Jacobs not 2023 Josh Jacobs with Marshawn Lloyd to compliment. Those two guys need to fill big shoes of Aaron Jones & lead this offensive unit in 2024. Number 1 is that both Xavier McKinney & Jaire Alexander earn those big fat paychecks. Both are capable of playing like all pros & if they do this should be a top 5 secondary. Expect Javon Bullard & Edgerrin Cooper to be quality starters on this team potential stars. Jordan Morgan as 1st rounder must become a solid quality starter somewhere on O line. Marshawn Lloyd is another with superstar potential. Ball security issues & pass pro the key. Also Hopper, Williams, Oladapo all expected to play roles to compliment this revamped D. We'll have to see if Jacob Monk & Travis Glover can play a role to solidify this suspect O line. Michael Pratt & Kalen King wildcards. Pratt is already proving his worth outplaying Clifford. Kalen King is much like Valentine he dropped in draft & is motivated to prove people wrong. A final note on special teams. There are no excuses for this unit or guru Rich Bisaccia in 2024. GM cater Rich players. Tyler Davis best teams player 2022 resigned. Eric Wilson & others too. This team also spent allot of draft capital targeting guys who were teams specialist as well. Rich has disputably the best KR in all of football in Keisean Nixon new rules can only help. Anders Carlson issue has been completely overblown. Due to the 5 extra point & SF misses. Many seem to forget he started the 2023 perfect through the first 7 games of the season. 27/33 (81% - It took Mason Crosby 3 years to hit 80%) his 6 misses were all 40+ yards! Anders is young. Kickers take time to develop. He has a strong leg something GB never had! There have been 3 kickers in camp since day 1 & Carlson has been best kicker since day 1. There's no competition Anders will be your kicker in 2024 as he should be. But a short leash. Go Pack Go!

GB spent (2) draft picks at skilled positions. QB Michael Pratt -7th & RB Deshawn Lloyd -3rd. Pratt is already outplaying Sean Clifford in camp. This team may carry 3 QBs to start 2024. Lloyd is an integral piece for this team. He needs to learn to block & do well in pass pro. He also needs to prove he can rectify the ball security issues that plagued him in college. Jacobs & Lloyd big shoes to fill to prove they can lead this offense as Aaron Jones did! Jordan Love only needs to continue to protect the ball as he did last half of last season. 18 TDs 1 INT in his last 9 games last year. Now he needs to prove he can play in the clutch. Early last season he threw INTs on 4 different occasions with game on line in enemy territory. He also did that at the end of the SF game as well. No more hero ball trying to force it in there! Must show he can be calm & cool under pressure. Continue to do what made him successful. If the D & O line improve as they should with the injection of new talent Love should be better. WR/TE group must sustain & improve upon success of the 2023 season. Rooms are deep. Luke Musgrave, Tucker Kraft, Benn Simms & Tyler Davis should be the 4 TE's to start season. Henry Pearson only true fullback likely on the outside looking in hopefully to practice squad. Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, Jaydon Reed, Tay Wicks, Bo Melton all locks to make team. Malik Health likely wins the 6th position with his blocking prowess exhibited last season. Samouri Toure, Grant DuBose, Dimitiri Stanley, Julian Hicks fight for the practice squad spots. The RBs are strong & should be utilized to lead this group & take pressure off of Jordan Love. High priced free agent Josh Jacobs 11.5 million & Deshawn Lloyd -3rd must lead this unit. Josh Jacobs a 3 down back should be the work horse for this unit & get most of the carries. AJ Dillion brought back as insurance until Lloyds proves himself in pass pro & ball security. AJ also showed up to camp looking buff. Needs to be his best odds stacked against him. RB Emanuel WIlson has a camp like last season best of all RBs it could spell the end for AJ! Hopefully Emanuel Wilson makes it back to the practice squad if he can't make the final 53. Matt Lafleur threw 6 incompletions in 1st half on 1st down vs SF & cost his team the game! Must do a much better job at clock management & winning the time of possession battle. Something GB poor at early in 2023. Matt needs to run on 1st downs & lean in his run game! (3) new O lineman. Tom & Jenkins fixtures. GB need 2 more quality starters to be elite again. Hopefully Rasheed Walker LT will build on 2nd half of last season & become a quality starter. Jordan Morgan 1st rounder needs to find a place in the starting 5 & become a quality starter. This organization needs to recognize the inconsistency in the play of Josh Myers this year. GB oblivious to this fact last season. Steno & Gute saying he playing best ball of his career? In a contract year former 2nd rounder Myers needs to prove himself or be cut at years end! GB seem to be handing him a starting role without any dispute or competition so far in camp? I'd love to see the Packers move Elgton Jenkins to center where he played his college career. At the very least they should be giving rookie 5th rounder Jacob Monk some snaps at center. Monk interesting. Could develop quickly he's projected as a center but played RG in college. Those remain 2 weakest links on this GB offensive line. Could Monk fill one of those roles? Travis Glover another late round draft pick could provide some value as a role player too. If Elgton Jenkins got moved to center then it would make sense to start Morgan at left guard. Zach Tom is a staple at right tackle. He ain't moving to the lower paying role of center people! My O line would be Rasheed Walker at LT until he fails. Last half of last season was very good. Of course we use Zach Tom at RT on the other side. Let Jenkins start in the center position. Let the rookie Morgan start at LG & then let the best of the rest battle it out for RG my choice. I'm set for my celebration party when GB finally cut that stiff Royce Newman once & for all. Like the cat came back plays like a bum every season but has 9 lives & makes team again. Not this time! 3.1 million GB will gain vs cap once this twit is finally axed in camp this year. Balance of the draft capital (6) went into underachieving defense where it was needed most. 3 new safeties, 2 ILBs & 1 CB. Their immediate impact this season will be key in GB's success. One of the big intangibles will be how this team does defending the run a chronic problem! Last season 4 games vs run teams - ATL, DET, PITT, NYG all of whom went 200+ on ground. Addition of Edgerrin Cooper the top ILB in draft a bonafided run stuffer in college was crucial! With a much improved backend now he should be able to continue to focus on the run game. Hopper other linebacker selection had major tackling issues throughout his college career. 3/4 years he ranked lowest in tackle efficiency & by a wide margin no less. That must change. Hopper was the one pick in this draft I felt they really reached on & one I disliked immensely. Isaiah McDuffie has shown a propensity for stopping the run game & should see more snaps. Eric Wilson a key teams player although aging remains a solid contributor at linebacker too. If GB play to their potential they should end up in the NFC Championship game in 2024. Where they'll most likely face their kryptonite the SF 49ers. With MVP RB Christian McCaffery. This team absolutely must do a much better job defending the run consistently vs any team. Of note as well is that Jeff Hafley did not exactly have a stellar run D with Boston College. Edge seems to be set in stone with Gary, Preston, Van Ness, Engabare starting 4 for certain. Excited however to see Brendan Cox Jr. having a good camp with a shot to make the team. Luke Van Ness needs to show some of that high 1st round talent. Underachieved so far. Karl Brooks also did well last season playing outside occasionally. Can't wait to see year 2! Kenny Clark still leading this D line in what could be his last season with the Packers. Clark & Preston aging with rich contracts should be target positions in this next draft class. TJ Slaton needs to take another step & play with more consistency a big issue with him. Devonte Wyatt should flourish pass rushing in new scheme but been atrocious vs the run. Colby Wooden apparently came to camp looking buff needs to prove to be solid piece too! The contribution of the high profile free agents on this team in 2024 will make or break GB. Josh Jacobs & draft choice Marshawn Lloyd must prove they can lead this offense in 2024. Xaxier McKinney & Jaire Alexander both must earn their big fat paychecks & lead this unit. This secondary certainly can be a top 5 unit with the injection of all this high quality talent. Jaire Alexander must rebound in 2024 after two injured riddled seasons with subpar play. Both Xavier & Jaire must play at a probowl level which both are quite capable of doing. Stokes needs to reach 1st round potential or be cut in contract year. 1st team snaps in camp? Carrington Valentine must build on his strong rookie season & prove he is a quality starter. Valentine another who showed up at camp this year looking buff adding size to his frame. Stokes & Valentine should benefit in this new scheme playing much more press coverage. If Ballentine can continue to contribute as he did last season when he was solid that be ideal. We'll see if Kalen King can make any impact. Disgruntled man due to his low draft selection. If he can play like he did in college 2 years ago rather than last year he might be able to help. These 3 new safeties all must develop quickly & contribute. Javon Bullard -2nd in particular. Evan Williams who this team moved up to draft looks like a guy may have a role to play. Kitan Oladapo also should have upside. But Oladapo being injured for camp is not helping. This unit must be a top 10 D if the Pack are to become elite again & serious SB contenders. They also must generate turnovers & return to being a league leader in turnover differential. Young talent lives up to potential & progress quickly those should be realistic expectations. There are absolutely no more excuses for Rich Bisaccia & this special teams unit this year. No more underachieving in 2024 they must prove to be a league leader on special teams! The GM has done a fabulous job facilitating Rich with all the tools he needs to succeed. Tyler Davis their top special teams player in 2022 was resigned. Eric Wilson & others too! This team also drafted many teams specialists to again to compliment the talent on teams. Rich has disputably the best kick returner in football in Nixon the new rules can only help. GB signed a new snapper one of the best out of this college class who is in camp this year. Only kicker Anders Carlson is a major concern. 3 kickers in camp since day one for the Pack. Kickers take time to develop. He has length & don't forget was perfect first 7 games of 2023. That said the leash has to be short & Packers must move on if he continues to struggle. Two of the biggest obstacles for this team are a tough schedule ranked toughest in NFC. Also playing in what is now one of the most competitive & deep divisions in all of football. Plus injuries something hurt them past 2 years. Must keep their biggest stars on the field. One thing I really want to see this season is Gutekunst active all year augmenting talent. This team may need a reliable kicker mid season if Anders Carlson continues his struggles. Injuries have hit this team hard in the past. Gute needs to be reactive to needs as they arise. Even if it's only low profile additions that will compliment the Packers core it's essential. GB notoriously conservative & slow to react to adversity in the past. That must change! Go Pack Go!

You pretty much laid it all out! OL and RB are the concerns for me on offense. The good news being that if Jacobs/Lloyd disappoint in '24, '25 running back class looks phenomenal to inject the unit with talent. They should still go there even if Lloyd looks good. Can Wilson step up? That'll be helpful with committees becoming the norm. I wish they had invested a bit more in OL early. But, if Walker can consistently be that pass blocker he was down the stretch, that should work. I hope Jordan Morgan can find a home at a spot of need, and you mentioned pushing Jenkins to center, which I"m sure many are in favor of. I do think they'll stick with Myers, and a Walker-Jenkins-Myers-Morgan-Tom group can be quite good. Just don't love the IOL depth right now at all.

@@JakeSchyvinckNFL AJ Dillion getting allot of hype at camp so buff. He was about the only bright spot for offense with a big run at practice. I was not a proponent of letting Aaron Jones walk. Jacobs big shoes to fill. Everyone said he's a stud but he is missing in action so far early in camp. Question still remains do we get 2022 Jacobs or do we get 2023 Jacobs? Good thing is Gute front loaded that deal & GB can walk away end of season. This boy Marshawn Lloyd looks very good. Ball security the issue & pass pro. Also looks like he can catch out of backfield. Matt will utilize that for sure. AJ still looks like front runner over E Wilson just hope he makes it back to PS. That's our issue this season so much talent & depth waivers going to kill us! I'd not expect Samouri Toure makes the team nor will he make it back to PS. Yes I agree on the offensive line. They still need more depth for certain. They just love Josh Myers! He can do no wrong. Best ball of his career! Amazing how oblivious GB management continues to be to his actual tape. In a contract season he should be challenged. Let Monk take some snaps? I guess the repour he holds with Jordan Love is invaluable to management? GB had 4 quality starters maybe Myers presence wouldn't hurt so much? We know we got Jenkins & Tom. We need 2 more starters just as good. As we've said hopefully Rasheed Walker can build on 2nd half & be one. Jordan Morgan is struggling so far in camp. Head swimming moving about. He must become a quality starter by season's end as a high draft choice. Seems they've started to target him at right guard recently which looks wisest. Former 3rd rounder Sean Rhyan has allot to prove. He worries me allot. Jacob Monk was in there but not a good start with 2 botched fumble snaps. I agree looks like they will go with Walker-Jenkins-Myers-Morgan-Tom. Need as you said to target 1 or 2 high draft choices in 2025 draft for sure. It's getting easier with this team improving & the depth chart getting deeper. Jaire don't rebound to probowl form CB going to be top of the list as well. Going to have to add talent with Preston Smith likely going too knowing Gute. Was actually quite surprised to see him extend Kenny but the price was right! Go Pack Go!

GB going Cooper in the 2nd, 3 strong safety types in the draft goes to show they are prioritizing good LB and downhill Safety play once and for all. We got a glimpse of it first year with Campbell but he got slower with injuries. They’re just DONE with the passive approach and good riddance really. Playing a safe scheme only makes sense with bottom tier talent on D but we have a bunch of 1st rounders. GB was already a 10th ranked passing defense last season too so upgrading S and LB instead of CB shouldn’t regress or cause us to stagnate at all. Run defense was bottom tier at 28, could easily slide to 30-32 if we didn’t address it this draft - that would likely mean an early round exit in the playoffs against teams in the 9ers or Eagles with lethal run games. Packers setting themselves up for a deep playoff run for a chance at a Bowl, not worried about just winning the division against the Lions. If we’re 2nd in the division but outperform the Lions in the playoffs, that’s better off. Could take time with a new defensive scheme like it did for the offense last year but we should be blazing by the time we finish the year.

He can play coverage but will likely be asked to be more of a box safety. Hes not better deep than Mckinney or Bullard so playing that box safety role in base is going to be his best route to getting on the field.

I mean he clearly wasn't just that in college, but I'm not sure I'd have him playing single high in the NFL. I'd trust Bullard more and potentially Williams as well back there. Could be a big nickel though in addition to a SS. Not sure we want a Markquese Bell situation at Dime LB haha

He's got an uphill battle. Other teams, along with the Packers have been chasing this type since Deone Buccanon had success with the Cardinals. The streets are littered with guys that didn't have the agility to succeed at that size. Aaron Rouse, Josh Jones, Tariq Carpenter. All high RAS scores aside from agility, and they couldn't get it done. Teams will find ways to isolate him on slot WR's and there is no way he can keep up. I wish him well, but hybrid more often than not means too small to play LB and too big to play Safety. Sean Richardson had some success in Capers system, but it was very limited before he got injured playing in the box at that size.
@aaiirssjoy
@aaiirssjoy 2 ай бұрын
Difference is that Kitan for sure plays smarter than Josh Jones did coming out. He’s more proactive in his coverage and has enough agility and footwork to transition with the receivers in their cuts as the film showed in Jake’s vid. He’s just not ever gonna be a high safety which is fine. I don’t think we will play him that much at LB either anyway after getting Cooper to pair with Quay while Hopper is a more coverage oriented backer too. I see him being a big nickel option against run heavy teams that will be the first to fill the alley ways on outside runs and condense the holes in inside runs while Evan Williams plays SS primarily. Bullard will likely be the starting nickel but Kitan will be the primary sub package guy in due time. He’s not that stiff of a player really.
@JakeSchyvinckNFL
@JakeSchyvinckNFL 2 ай бұрын
Nagy suggested the Dime LB possibility, but I don't think I'd go down that road with Oladapo. Let him be the SS that has duties defending the run in the box and cover TEs while working in robber/hole coverages. Nothing wrong with having him back there in a split field look either. He's a safety to me. Not a LB/S tweener. Now, if the coaching staff starts to mention him being that type, then I'll share in your concerns haha
