Hey brother I can make melodies in my head and then connect lyrics to it and make choruses and verses and i replay it on my head if i think its good And the catchy / good ones i make playlist I have like 10 song i made up (Thanks to my head i can also make sounds) Even tho i never learnt to produce or write and its just a skill i have but i comment this because i do believe my songs in my head are really good :) But what is the next step? I thought to learn how to produce but it take years… or should i write lyrics and make full songs and store in my head again? I don’t have a lot of money or time for that But it sucks because i do believe i have potential 😭

What about if you made a soundtrack in my DAW, but its not finished but want to use a snippet. So the music is not copyrighted because first of all I only use it for enjoyment and second I don't promote my music. How do I prove to TikTok is my music.
@TieDyeKitty
@TieDyeKitty 13 күн бұрын
HI, well please do not take my reply the wrong way, I am not trying to put you down in any way. Even tho you say that you make music for enjoyment and do not promote it, the fact that you are so excited about the song that you want to share it before it is even finished says something. It means that you are passionate and want to Share it, that means you want people to hear it, so by making a video is to promote it. I would say, finish song, copyright, release and only then make your video. Because copyright works like this: if someone takes your song and makes their own version and registerers that song, they will own the copyright. They can even take you to court to say that your song infringed on their copyright because you don't have the copyright for your song. And if you did have that copyright registration in hand, you could send TikTok a copy as proof that the music is yours also. Hope this helps, chat soon George!

Because it is transformer-less, it will have sibilance issues depending on the mic preamp and gain settings. If you want a good clone, buy the Mic-Parts DIY kit. It is the closest in my ears.
@TieDyeKitty
@TieDyeKitty 14 күн бұрын
!00% agree with GAIN setting because that is the most important thing, the problem most bedroom producers encounter is the average Audio Interface does not have a "Gain" knob, but more of an input knob. But an external mic pre amp in most cases have a Gain and Output knob, this way as you know you can raise the output volume on a channel to get your meters moving without pushing Gain! That was how I first started using the 103, it was only after I downsized my studio, did I run into sibilance issues with the 103, because I could not adjust really adjust gain on my interface. So an external pre amp is a game changer, so it would probably be the first thing I buy in order to start recording music again!
@irawardofficial
@irawardofficial 14 күн бұрын
@@TieDyeKitty Yes indeed !! Me too, I have down sized as well and have gone down the rabbit hole of home studio recording. It seems to me that today's "cheap" interfaces can't drive the microphones properly and they make the mics sound dead. No matter how hard you push the gain and treble, they sound horrific. Although I can afford to get a u87, a Calrec RQP 3200, a DBX 520 and a Focusrite Red2 EQ, I can't justify the investment for making just "demos" LOL. I am trying to get as close as I to that sound without the price... The 103 is a great mic for the money. That and a ISA one should do the trick. A lot of guys are making it work with cheaper preamps. Like the Symetrix 528, I hear that they are really good and have a vintage but transparent sound. The Golden Age Project PRE-73 Single-Channel Premier Microphone Preamp is another one, has a really good transformer. I will definitely buy a couple and test them...

Hi, that is a hard question to answer, you have to ask yourself what is more important, the performance or the gear? Because i have done many side by side comparisons on the Neaumann TLM103 as a cheaper alternative to the U87 as "a clone" and many people on KZfaq have shot that down. It comes down to what you like, what works for you and what you can afford, they all will get the job done, but when you find the perfect mic for your voice, you will have less work to do in the mix. @TieDyeKitty
@TieDyeKitty 14 күн бұрын
Sorry for the late reply, you would need to request a take down of the song via a ticket on ONErpm, explaining the issue. Your problem is going to be a little difficult because a digital fingerprint was already made from the wrong audio to identify your song online, this is used for Shazam, KZfaq Content ID and many other apps. So once you send your ticket to ONErpm, the song should be deleted from streaming platforms in about 30 days. Let ONErpm guide you on this, so that they may be able to save you alot of issues, just be patient, because its not as simple as it may seem.

@TieDyeKitty
@TieDyeKitty 3 ай бұрын
Hey Cameron, the only thing you can really do is align yourself with Soca in some way and launch yourself out from that after some time, because Soca has the Trini audience. The truth is for all music these days is that everyone has become lazy, no one makes the time to seek good music again, they rather be told what to listen to. And if everyone listens to soca, start working your way in that direction. Chromatics (Richard Raj-Kumar) has been around for years in the Trini rap scene but this year went in the direction of soca to gain more attention. Nailah Blackman is a pop/rock singer songwriter, who is now on the tips of most trinidad lips because of soca, but she has being intoducing her true self and style of music on her albums little by little, so when she does switch, to a pure pop/rock type album, no one will complain. And well the is also Freetown Collective, they are on the verge of Folk music in Trinidad, but one of their biggest songs broke into the soca market in a big way!

It’s not falsifying streams as long as each song has its own ISRC code and uses that same code wherever it appears. It’s the same as releasing a song and having that same song appear on an EP or Album afterwards. That song must use the same ISRC code unless it’s an alternative version of the song. It’s not falsifying streams at all. If you’re in any doubt you should speak to your distributor.
@TieDyeKitty
@TieDyeKitty 3 ай бұрын
Hey thanks for your comment, you are absolutely right when you say each song MUST HAVE ITS OWN ISRC CODE, and that is what music distributors asked us to do, but the waterfall release technique encourages artist to use the same ISRC code on all the releases over and over, that is why I say they can consider it falsifying streams in the eyes of the streaming platforms.

@@TieDyeKitty If that same song is on every release then it should have the same ISRC code. Spotify wouldn’t penalise you for that. is there a way to do it to just completely disable copyright? I want people to use my music and I don't care how, I uploaded mine through distrokid
@TieDyeKitty
@TieDyeKitty 14 күн бұрын
Sorry for the late reply, I understand why you would want to do this, but its not the copyright you need to disable, because copyright is the reason you get paid. You are looking for a way to make your music accessible for free, so that people can use it and the music may gain popularity over time. This falls under the music recognition software mainly KZfaq Content ID and apps like Shazam. To be honest, I do not think there is any way around this, because every song uploaded through a music distributer is put through this sort of software to scan for copyright issues to begin with, otherwise there would be millions of copyright claims clogging up our court systems. If you would like people to use your music, you may have to put a notice out asking people to email you to obtain a free licence to use the song, so if they run into any problems, that document will clear them for any future use.
