Every year she bought a brand new one. I left home when I turned 17 and that same neighbor was still driving new Cadillacs. They are some kind of a great classic for sure . Classy and Elegant !!

As a teen I wanted one of these SO BAD. They fail to mention the biggest problem with the car. It came with the option of the 440 hurst trac pack. Which under hard acceleration would throw a timing chain like it was a piece of string. You ended up having to convert it over to timing gears. But it did make a very nice whine just like it had a supercharger
@auto_icons9 күн бұрын
Ah, the Plymouth GTX - the teenage dream car that could also double as a master class in mechanical headaches. That 440 Hurst Trac Pack was a beast, no doubt, but you're right. It did have a knack for throwing timing chains like confetti. Converting to timing gears, now that's a clever fix. And that whine? Pure, unadulterated automotive symphony, just like a supercharger - with a touch of DIY engineering genius. Cheers to the trials and triumphs of muscle car obsession!
