It will live on, but not in the way I wished it could. I wish I could have gotten to see this bird, but it went extinct way before I was even born. I really can’t imagine being that bird, hearing the call coming from elsewhere. Thinking it’s a potential mate but seeing no sign of one…and losing hope. I hope that bird is flying high, alongside others of its species that have since long passed. All I can hope for is that it’s at peace now…
