It's amazing how names that were once so familiar just disappear and when you are reminded of them the memories they bring back. It's ages since I have thought of Sealink. I went on a school trip using Sealink. The school took a group of us, by train, from just south of Watford to Innsbruck and then Rimini. Whatever they paid those teachers wasn't nearly enough, but I had great fun traversing the French, Swiss, Austrian and Italian railways. Hi Paul, the 31 is a good loco but overshadowed by the 37. I nearly picked up some of the Sealink coaches but were hard to come by, so gave up. Wish I had a rake now, they look excellent like the Railfreight rake of wagons. Best wishes from The Piddle Folk in Somersex.

Morning Paul - an excellent choice of motive power this morning. 31's look good in virtually any livery disguise. Glad to say your final piece of background music must have been picked just to annoy our national treasure 😅. That said he may not have heard it properly as his ears haven't "popped" yet following his excursion north of the border. I understand the pretend Scotsman is now lying down in a darkened room recovering😅. These piddle folk just get everywhere 😂.

Space Cat and I were unfamiliar with the Class 31 but we are now in agreement that it is a stately and dignified machine, not too modern, nor too old, not too fancy, nor too plain. It is a locomotive about which there is no question. A locomotive which is simply about its business, with no concern for fancy trappings, frills or unnecessary ornamental fittings. A locomotive consistent with the earnest ethic of the Industrious Leprechauns who made the Wickford what it is today. The final musical piece launched Space Cat into a fit of interpretive dance! Beautiful video my friend! But we were both a bit embarrassed by the shortness of the shorts of the Wickford footballers...I assured Space Cat that they are ergonomically designed for maximum flexibility. And we are happy that the Merry Berry will flow freely regardless of the result of the Polish visit. Best wishes and thoughts from this side of the great pond my friend :)

One Eyed Joe's mill is great addition to the layout, particularly with Porter, Harbottle and Albert clinging to the sails. It adds a real sense of serenity to the layout. There is something about having a moving object on apart from the trains that really adds something to a layout. Lovely camera angles as well Paul. Very enjoyable. Stephen

Nice to see the Sonic Prairie this morning and it looked very much at home. Im pleased with mine, although fitting the chip is a pain with the front end supports. Thanks goodness for a magnifier headset. How have you found its pulling power. Mine is fine over the flat, but a bit light footed on the incline. Apparently the spring in the front bogie is a bit stiff and it lifts the front driving wheels. I will have to see if mine gets better as the spring beds in. Stephen

Morning Paul, yet again the mute button had to be used ! The two locomotives seemed to perform admirably through County Wickford and look excellent. I may change my mind a purchase one ! I am not so sure the location of the decoder is the best though as I a sure you will have turned the air blue. How do you rate them ? A compulsory pint of Merry Berry Perry to the small boat people is an excellent idea, it would stop the boats quicker than the Reform Party !

Hi Paul, it was great to see the Large Prairie running round, my one turned up this week and it’ll be a while before she’s up and running. Can I ask you what chip you used, is it the Bachmann one? They seem like good runners, and I really like the detail and looked at home on passenger and freight duties. Hope you’re well, hopefully I’ll have an update video out soon, cheers for now, John

while i was admiring those beautiful steamers, Space Cat wondered randomly if the Wickford has hidden staging. I didn't know the answer, so i told her that information is classified top secret. Lovely to see the Mail getting through. Some lovely camera angles as always Paul. The shot of the train going over the viaduct left to right mirrored by one at the back doing the same thing was either a masterstroke of timing or a very happy accident. Either way it was superb.
