The K24 sounds great. Whats the redline on it? Seems like you were short shifting a lot.

8k is the redline, and the car wasn't going into vtec due to a vehicle speed sensor issue so it was starting to lean out above 7k. Working it out now.

Looking nice. Life is currently holding my own K24 MR-S at a standstill, but hope to have it moving closer to completion and back on the road here soon. Please let me/us know what you go for on your exhaust setup. Mine's going to be loud as hell and I am looking for setups to quiet it down.

My current idea for the exhaust is to use a factory TSX header as it doesn't have a catalyst in it and the opening is 3 inches. I will probably end up custom welding an entire exhaust for it. I don't plan on putting a cat in it as it'll be registered in a non emissions County

Swap in a 2ZZ and the 6-speed from the Celica GTS, and you will have the S2000 in your rear window. Honda engineered the hell out of the S2000 so that it could perform like the rear midship of the MRS. But the MRS is a natural rear midship and its still way lighter. And dare I say...it may even turn a little better in corners.

Swap it, supercharge it. That's what I'm doing with a 2ZZ 1:10.5 & Rotrex C30-94.

@Dimos really need more torque from bigger displacement. Running between 6000 and 12000 feet of elevation I need all the torque I can get 😅 plus they have a better oil pump and cylinder head designs and the potential to make big power is always there if I wanted to

Throw in a LSD too when you do the swap. I'd say you did pretty well with a 1ZZ and 5 spd.

@@oc5708 The Miata is a gentle nice and lovely karting. The MR2 is more radical car. They seem to be the same, but they are really different. It depends what you are looking for. I have put Bielstein B6 shock absorbers and Toyo tires on the Miata, I need to go rev to 7000 rpm to have fun, but it's great. Now, the MR2 is a... beast from hell.

@@sebastienmessina9629 stock 1zz rebuilt 30k ago. Only engine performance mod is the lightweight fly wheel. It's making about 160psi on all 4 cylinders so it's making all of its 130 hp 😂. We also start at 5000 feet, and often run up 9 or 10,000 feet
