Yes, I am ugly, but I don't see that as a bad thing. Ugliness and beauty are both natural. Ugliness is bad, everyone has good and bad characteristics in two areas: -Selectable features -Non-selectable features Selectable features are features that people choose themselves. For example: --Being selfish is a selectable bad feature. --Being helpful is a selectable good feature. Non-selectable features are features that a person has from birth. For example: --Not having one leg is a non-selectable bad feature. --Being beautiful is a non-selectable good feature. You should treat people based on the features they can select. You cannot treat them based on features they cannot select. You cannot treat someone badly because they are ugly, or treat someone well because they are beautiful. Not everyone is beautiful. There are ugly people too, and the ugly ones are the majority and the beautiful ones are the minority. But ugly people also need to accept themselves, and others need to treat them like humans. So if you are ugly, accept yourself as you are and do not try to become beautiful, because you are already ugly and this is a feature of you. If you are beautiful, don't try to become ugly, because you are already beautiful and that is a feature of you. Do you know? The best selectable good feature is to accept yourself as you are and try not to change it. We are all valuable.

I'm conventionally unattractive. Society does not like women with masculine features. I have been harassed and insulted by strangers for my appearance in public. I'm a flamboyant natural/ imverted triangle type with some extra fat and muscle. When I do encounter someone who likes my type then I'm called a muscle mommy or amazon. More often I'm described as manly. Strangers have asked me things like " why would you do this to yourself". I work a physical job and have naturally broad shoulders,large ribs snd small hips. When I'm thin, i look bony and people assume i use drugs.

Pretty good analysis! Makes me actually wanna watch this - I think the headless scenes are a call to how the Minotaur was defeated via decapitation from Theseus. Your symbology of him losing his head definitely makes it more layered for sure!

Yeah I also can see that she DOES look like Megan Fox, but I also absolutely see how that set a very high expectation on her appearance. Poor gal!

14:00 no no, that’s pretty close. I had to watch the middle school boys do that to each other back in the day and when they did it, they would put two finger together like if you were gonna scoop peanut butter with your fingers and try too “dip” up from under each others chests like scooping beans on a Tostito…. The 2000s and early 10s were a weird place.

I watched the whole show but not anything outside of it! I said I would also feel a bit insecure about my partner being so close to someone they were intimate with, especially if I felt like my partner was ignoring me for that person. But we didn’t see that beyond Chelsea bringing it up in the argument so I didn’t spend much time on it. The show is edited to fit a narrative, though, so I could definitely see that happening.

There isn’t just one beauty standard in the world, there are multiple. You may just think one person is average but another will think they’re the most beautiful person they’ve seen. It really all depends. Also with that being said being average isn’t bad either, the average is just the average and that’s okay, not every person has to be considered “beautiful”, if they want.
@divacandyful3 ай бұрын
yeah that's what i'm thinking. we're all from different ethnicities and races so the beauty standard would be different.
