Well the last study he ready that showed that there were no enchantments with the tendons of the young athletes didn't really make sense , they were young with all the collagen their bodies need . Along with every repair hormone acting at full potential . Also with all of his talking he spent almost zero time or showing evidence with people talking hydrolyzed collagen from a pure source that were older then 45 .majority younger then that won't have a high lacing of it . This video while having a lot said was a bit all over the place . Studies on this will always be scarce because their is no money for the FDA to be made just the supplement company . I know of a dozen people that high grade Collagen has helped greatly myself included . Again this isn't a bad video but should have really gone much more into the types of supplemental collagen and info on those .

Hi Dave, thank you. You've occasionally mention the western junk food diet, and I'm interested to know where would you draw the 'junk food' line with specific foods. I would currently like to keep moderate amount of carbs in my diet, but I'm unsure whether foods such as bread, bananas, dried fruit, fresh fruit, couscous, oats etc. could be considered junk food, and would appreciate your thoughts on this. Thank you.

Which omega 3 supplement do you take as someone alergic to fish? I've been taking Naturalis vegan omega 3 as it was the closest i could find to a 1:1 DHA EPA ratio

This was such a great video. I see the AG1 stuff everywhere and it just reeks of a money grab. I learned long ago to never trust propriety ingredients. As a powerlifter, the only supplements I take is a super multivitamin/mineral, fish oil, vitamin d, creatine, magnesium, and on lift days B12. 90-95% of my meals are whole foods (fish, pork, chicken, beef, eggs, veggies) as well as cottage cheese and yogurt. I do have the occassional protein shake on a busy day.

I've learned to never buy something being promoted by "influencers". It's always overpriced and often times an outright scam. Only thing I can say I use daily that is advertised by KZfaqrs is Ground News.

Honestly, I admire AG1's marketing strategy. It's obviously working very well for them. I did buy into the hype and test out the supplement for a month or two. Taking it each morning made me *think* I was doing something good for my health but I started to question it pretty quickly. The price tag is insane, I just couldn't justify the cost A) as someone with a good diet to begin with and B) for something that didn't have any noticeable benefits. Thanks for this great deep dive into the supplement and it's worthiness, it was a good reality check that I shouldn't be spending my money on this product.

In Scandinavia, and I think other countries as well we eat a lot of liver pate as bread topping, which is an actual tasty way to at least get some of the benefits from liver, even if it's a bit processed.

the whole point of AG1 and other all-in-one supplements is that they are easily consumable wherever and whenever. That's not the case with eggs or liver. Of course everyone knows that whole food is better than supplements. But whole food is not an alternative of the supplements. Supplements are supposed to SUPPLEMENT the whole food, so it obviously doesn't make sense to suggest whole food to replace supplements.

Well said, first video of yours I've seen and totally agree. I do the same, boiled eggs in the morning, small amount of liver, I take Hirsch organic beef organ capsules every other day and this has hugely improved how I feel. AG1 always seemed like an expensive, highly marketed, fairly useless supplement.

Thanks for the awesome health information. I love these videos debunking the popular KZfaqr brands like ag1 manscaped and better help. I personally just eat a balanced diet because vitamins never seemed to do anything for me, but I know some people who are vegan who use things like ag1. What would you suggest for vegans who can't/refuse to eat any of the alternatives you suggested?

This might be a rant but I’ve had an issue with advertising of AG1 by influencers for quite some time. I became aware of it when following a channel called Max and Lee. While traveling to South America she developed mental health problems. She left him and eventually took her own life. They were advertising for AG 1 and mental health is linked to gut health. “Life with Lee” is her story. Then another channel Eamon and Bec (close friends with Lee and also advertising for AG1) discovered that Bec had stage 4 breast cancer. They took us on that horrible journey with them and all seems stable now. But again - AG1. Then Bea from The Indie Project, also advertising AG1 had more than a year of significant issues with mental health and suicide attempts. While her issue was identified and rectified and all appears to be good now - still AG1 was there promoting its wellness benefits. And Trent and Allie. Promoting AG1 but had a difficult and very risky first pregnancy. All I can say is I hope all these people weren’t actually taking the supplement they were promoting and that AG1 had no role to play in these health issues. The experiences had by the small handful of KZfaqrs I follow makes me cringe every time I see or hear an ad for AG1

Day 9 after a grade 3 ac joint separation. However, after reading the comments my condition may not be as bad. I do have a purple blob forming near my right armpit area and im not too sure what to make of it. I was supposed to see an orthopedist, to get a clearer picture, but my insurance doesn’t kick in until next month. After reading the comments though thank God that my healing process is going quicker than I expected. Already out of my sling, but still have limited movement. Watching this video was a relief, thank you.

I liked this video. Really classy informative critique. I'm glad you plan on following up about omega 3s as I had heard they too were an overhyped "health' item with no good body of evidence supporting their importance. As an aside, my parents tried to use bacon (and ketchup) to make eating liver regularly tolerable. I'm glad they were trying to help my Mom conquer her anemia, but I now don't find ketchup or bacon tolerable.

The "superior alternative" is "change your diet". In case anyone was actually thinking there might be a good recommendation for an alternative supplement like the title of the video implies.
