Excellent. Wish you could teach other tubers to make concise, informative, no nonsense videos.

Great work! This is what it usually comes down to. We have to get creative and make something perfect ourselves.

Nah, I think the costs involved make it a bit prohibitive for most people. I think this was about $200 in materials.

Yep, got a 09 Mazda 5 that spit one out just like this. Bout to order the bushings and do both sides. I like these videos like this so I can glance through them and see what kinda job it's going to be. Other than having to get dirty and hardest part of getting up n down in the ground ( bad foot / ankle ) just getting up the mood to actually do it will be my hardest part.

I just worked on my 345 which is exactly the same except the chain adjuster is different. Big warning here : Use a small flashlight to look down in cylinder. Rotate the clutch in the direction to remove it and make sure piston rises above exhaust port before shoving rope in. If you fail to do this you can push rope out exhaust port so piston will try to shear rope off. Simple, easy check to avoid problems. To tighten you reverse the process but you should remove rope starter assy. so you are not pulling against dogs, pulley and handle instead of rope in cylinder. Good video.

You better turn that star adjuster in a lot.....otherwise you're gonna break your brake cylinder by forcing them off this way.......Cause the shoes will hold in the drum if you don't UN adjust them first........There's a little access port on the back of the brake to use 2 screwdrivers to do that...one holds back the adjuster spring....the other one turns the star wheel....... .. I used your method with the rope. It worked fine for removing the clutch. Only problem is removing the rope once clutch reinstalled. Any hints would be appreciated.

they sell these super handy little metal things you can actually thread into the oil filter when you take it off and there is a little handle on it when you screw it on so you can pull out the oil filter and not spill any oil when doing so!, i use them at work all the time and it’s awesome. good video btw i just wanted to watch to see if you any tips of taking those fucking things off because they’re a pain for sure haha

Know if you need an alignment after this? Took it to a shop said they didn't find anything wrong but i do have the rattling noise which makes me believe its the bushings. But this shop does keep saying im going to need an alignment after the job.

Good for a step by step but if you only want to do this once and make the install easier replace these with the powerflex bushings. See my review on them. Otherwise you will have to do this again in the future.

I personally after all of that wor bought the powerflex version and since it is a bit more expensive it will last twice as long as the OEM part and comes with an incredible warranty but if the our ring was in descent shape SuperPro make another nice one that slides right in the ring and also has a better warranty than the OEM part

Have you tried placing the bushing in the freezer and the arm in anoven or heat theend with a torch? we used to do this to put bearings in place in quick change rear ends using this approach, bearings inthe freezer and rear end center section in an oven.

Is it ok to not insert rope like you show when removing the clutch or does this damage the saw in some way? I've never used rope. I just give the clutch a light hit with a hammer then turn until I feel the most resistance then hit again. Takes 5 or 6 times of doing that and usually it's loosened enough to unscrew by hand. Is the rope simply to make it faster but not necessary? Thanks.
