I believe SVG still has another 3 CUP races for Kaulig this year as well. Watkins Glen, Talladega and Las Vegas. Not sure if anything changes there.

This came out of nowhere. I hope we get to know what has happened but it is what it is. SVG onwards and upwards, we know he doesn't spend much time looking in the rear view mirror, so eyes forward, lots of races to come and his learning continues.

Definitely not a positive in the short term because SVG and Bruce were working well together. I think SVG has learned a lot this season and there's a chance he could work well with Kevin Walter as well but we'll see

Didn't have a lot of faith that announcement would come this week but that's what Chris Rice said after Indy. Yesterday on SiriusXM said he was meeting partners this week regarding next season and announcement would be soon. Also mentioned that they're in the process of hiring a competition director to take some of the load off of him

The team will rally round and support the new crew chief, it is a time for massive input and support for the whole crew to help the new chief and SVG bond in the critical area of car tuning. For Kevin to be selected as replacement Chief he must have great credentials, but it is a pity because the team were working very well together, so whatever the reason, the team will continue on its upward trajectory to wins on the ovals.

SVG apparently, according to Shawn in every single one of these videos, shouldn't be going as good as he has this season. so I don't think the change in crew chief will be an issue. Remember the driver that had this crew chief has been doing this sort of racing for years and he is not having a great season. so that reflects poorly on the crew chief, now the new crew chief has a top steering to look after his stats will vastly improve.

He will be going to trackhouse for SVGs next season in cup. and this is the stand down period. Shawn is still sleeping on SVG.

Bruce left because of new sponsor perhaps? Relationship between himself & Shane seemed to be growing every time they raced and they had such a good connection..Dont think its a positive at all ,its a shame in my eyes

Wow Wow Wow. I was expecting some news to drop this week. But both of these stories came out of left field. Good and bad. SVG and Kevin Walter have 2 weeks to get up to speed before Michigan.

SVG is pretty well up atm, after his Indy drive I'm sure he's got a positive outlook for future oval racing moving forward, hope he's going to go well considering all things.

Good to have new sponsors that's for sure. Not sure how the loss of SVG's crew chief will effect the rest of the races for him, this could be good or bad for the team. Do you guys have any other news from the team as to why the split between the two?

Are they going to just keep pushing driver announcements? Do you think they have anything 100% locked in?

Can he win on an oval? No. Having said that, nothing he does surprises me at this stage.

Maybe however it's not a loss if he doesn't get that win on an oval this year. As long as he can continue to improve, I'm sure most people will agree. Let's be completely honest he is a fast learner. So if he can continue this rise in class he will definitely be the best learner driver.

I think Watkins is a track that SVG will show even more he will know the track very well just from his sim experience. For me its a waste of time SVG trying to grow in the ovals in xfinity. He's to old to waste time learning in the wrong car, better off taking the pain in the ovals next year and then taking real cup experience into 2026 and beyond, the truth is even if he does really well next year he probably won't win the xfinity championship but winning in cup on the road courses and making the play offs will mean far more along with the better race experience even if further back.

It takes as much luck as any else to win on an oval.

More running up front and on the wall could see a win if things go his way more risk upfront and chance to get wrecked or lose control when he pushes harder getting used to the Xfinity cars... He is planning on racing speedway to help him in off season...

He could easily win on an oval this year and also I think you underestimate him for how he will go at Watkins Glen. He will do well there.

Thanks for the effort involved in producing this. I'd like to see how much the pit stops have affected this data. How do those stops stack up against other teams pit stop metrics? And of course SVG has never raced at any of these tracks before which to me is perhaps the most important factor, along with - he's never even driven these cars before. So I guess a lot of our enthusiasm for SVG and his future in Nascar is at least partially based on what we (the SVG fan club) see as an exponential improvement from him as he gets the feel for each individual track AND the cars. For me that's the "x" factor, the SVG factor. As that happens I believe a different picture will start to emerge-and this is going to be AWESOME to watch unfold.

Can't wait to see how he performs at Watkins Glen and the Roval. What's been impressive is how SVG has worked with Bruce to make the cars better. He'll have his cars dialed in where he'll be a factor in both races

He was running in 9th at Pocono until he was wrecked by Sam Mayer. Should have 2 top 10 finishes in a row on ovals/triangles lol
