Hi Mer. I guess black, grey and white combo would work too. Your flower reminds of the peacock tail😃. Anyway, great summer project❤️

These are gorgeous Meredith, a lovely novel way to quill a rainbow. I must admit I do like quilling with pearlised strips and haven’t found any issues sticking them. Maybe experiment with different glues… I use Bearly Arts Glue or Cosmic Shimmer white glue and find they work well. Tearing the ends always helps but you do that a lot anyway. Thank you for sharing as always. ❤😘
@ThePaperyCraftery5 күн бұрын
That makes sense. Maybe I should have just used a bit of Tacky Glue. I really don't reach for these strips very often so maybe I just need more practice too!

What kind cutter and what kind of paper do I use to cut wider quilling paper? Love your tutorials ❤ tell everyone about you and what a great instructor you are.

Thanks so much! I don’t cut my strips, but I know others just use some sort of manual paper cutter for theirs.

Just amazing. Thanks for showing how these are done. Do you have a picture of an arrangement that you did with them?
@ThePaperyCraftery18 күн бұрын
Thank you so much for watching! Unfortunately, I don't have an arrangement with the asters yet but I think they'd look great with some smaller flowers to balance out their size and some simple greenery 😁
@patriciawilson413518 күн бұрын
@@ThePaperyCraftery Personally would you use them on a card or would you try to make an arrangement for a vase. They would look good arranged in a picture frame. Want to know how you would use them. They are lovely.
@ThePaperyCraftery15 күн бұрын
I think they may be a big bulky for a card as is. On a smaller scale, they could work. You definitely could use them in a vase. I mention in the video that you could add a stem on the back. I have a demo on how to do this for a similar flower in this coneflower video 👉kzfaq.info/get/bejne/n6p0fNaZs7qxkWw.htmlsi=PYbZB7BpJk9BgKlv You can see that around the 16:30 mark. I think the most popular way to use them would be framed.

@@ThePaperyCraftery Thank you so much. Recently made a baby frame with flowers, baby feet, rattle and a cross as the family is religious. I hadn't used my supplies in a long time and so enjoyed getting them out and making something. Take care.

These are so cute. I was doing you husking board flowers but I definitely going to try these! Donyou think watercolor the tips would be alright to use?
@ThePaperyCraftery18 күн бұрын
I've used watercolor on other quilling projects, and I did try that with the asters before I settled on the pastels. It did work just fine , but I found that I got a better transition from the red to the yellow with the pastels and I also try to show as many new techniques as possible. You can absolutely use the paint though 🤩
