I expected him to make a picture in the video. He speaks only in front of his works, he is disappointed. It's sad, his knowledge and technique will go with him this way.

I have been looking at other works by Stacey. And wow what an artist. Superb style and talent, it's a shame he isn't wider known imo. Will look forward to seeing what he does in the coming years.

To most people , the paintings are crap, the kind of thing a kid would paint.. watching him paint a dog, like a sausage with t stick legs.. I mean come on, is that REALLY art? I guess I like things to look real, rather than child like, but each to their own.. its like some singers with terrible live voices that are hugely popular

What a man of intrigue...I think his perfection in his paintings may have displayed somewhat of 'the good sides' of Autism.....Doing 1 thing obsessionally well...As he certainly did...

The assuredness of his brush stokes, he painted because he had to, the epitome of primitively

Why is it only 16 minutes long? There wasn't much tv content back then. TV stations even closed transmission every night from late evening until 6:00 am. So surely this documentary could have been made to 30 minute length?

You paint what you know, Lowry was a Mancunian . He painted the Manchester that he saw every day.

I think Lowry depicts loneliness. So he creates all these made up figures that exist together but alone.

The Gospel, which means the Good News is the news that God Almighty, the Creator came in the flesh as Jesus Christ to take away the sin of the world. The one God is a trinity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Son came and laid down his own life to save ours. His sacrifice on the cross paid the price for our redemption with his own blood. On the third day he rose from dead and offers the gift of salvation and forgiveness to those that repent and trust in him. John 1:1,14 KJV In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and THE WORD WAS GOD. [14] And THE WORD WAS MADE FLESH, and dwelt among us, 1 John 3:8 KJV He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Isaiah 9:6 KJV For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty GOD, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and THE WORLD KNEW HIM NOT. John 3:18 KJV He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

This is very sad. Very sad. He probably convinced himself that loneliness is better than company because he could not find any, and seems no one tried to become his friend in life. He probably was a virgin when he died too. Imagine that.

He said that he starts with the landscape and not the figures. The painting he painted in this segment was started with figures.

Wonderful work and video! I'm such a fan💞 a couple of questions if I may; are your oil pastel paintings on canvas, and if so is it primed? Do you put anything over the pastel painting or simply frame under glass only?

Lowry was the original Manc. Preceeding Cooper-Clark, Morrissey, Brown and co. If you look closely each painting has a giant two finger salute hidden in his beautiful use of greys.

Without question Bob Richardson is the best landscape pastel artist in Britain , indeed Europe if not global living today. His works are inspirational, capturing the light and atmosphere of each scene delicately and profoundly, Such a humble talented artist, passionate and dedicated to his art. This is a wonderful film and gratefully appreciated.

What a humble man. I am glad his wife was able to draw those wonderful figures. I enjoyed this interview. We see a painting with a name attached but I want to know about who they were and what their passion with every stroke of their brush. Mr Major most certainly used different tools like a wire brush. He welcomed children to feel the texture of his paintings.......one super cool dude.
