Christen just said the most important thing (talking about a crowd of people all being focused on the same moment) "that is why I love live music and live sports" YES YES YES! I have become a huge fan of women's football (and I'll watch the men sometimes too), but I'm a musician, not an athlete, and as a performer, there are so many interesting similarities between music and sport as ART, as creating feelings (to say nothing of the necessary commitment to excellence, disciple, a high tolerance for disappointment, etc). Anyway, great point - LIVE MUSIC AND LIVE SPORT!

I love Tobin sharing her rehab process, especially since she is so private about it all normally. Selfishly, I still desperately want to see Tobin in this NWSL era, completely bossing the wing. #tobinho

The personality dynamic of Tobin tending to be vague about her injury and Christen continually prompting her for the exact details! What a great couple! It was obvious how emotional it was for both of them to be discussing the injury and recovery.

"What is so special about women?" is a topic only women should address, especially via the middleperson you mentioned. Because men's answers about women in general are often subjectively convoluted and based on mostly irrelevant aspects of a women's total being.

Abby should consider going in to coaching, I believe she is got what all that it takes to become just as successful as she was in her playing career.

Watching a match earlier today, the on-air host told us that you, Christen, had begun practicing with your club, ACFC. !!!!! We all jumped to our feet and screamed with delight. 🤸♀️💃 We are Angel City fans since day one. When you signed with ACFC we couldn't believe our luck to get you for our home team. 🤸♀️💃 Oh how we have missed you on the pitch. Great show. Great to see y'all together sharing so much heart and soul. Best wishes to all of you, and thank you for the WONDERFULLY entertaining play over the years. Stay well gals.

Use the money to invest in youngsters and grow the game to add value, like a wealth fund, as per Norway with oil. Do not just dole it all out now. Emma Hayes could be a fantastic champion for the game with her background and having a family. Get the game onto areas that are currently NFL 🏈 loving. More kids getting a chance to play sport would benefit all sport, not just football ⚽️.

Funny, the Spanish play in a controlled way, using teamwork and skill. It is not maniac, more of a prepared way to overcome an opponent, like a bullfight to know you will win before you start, not risking all, like running the bulls. The way to ensure you win when it matters most is preparation. For proof look at the way operational research is used. Fit for purpose but reliable beats excellent but no guarantee to last. Russian roulette always ends the same way eventually.

Hello Tobin and Christen. I find your shows fascinating as a male watcher from UK. Here sports are broadcast as single sports with male and female commentaters from that sport. The differences are more between sports. I see US broadcasts with several sports, but divided by male and female and it looks strange, like something from forty years ago. Secondly the game I played had mixed teams. My club B team had several women's county players. I used to get in and out of the A team, but won city individual and team competitions and never thought it just a men's game. The idea of women stepping up and doing the job was normal since when my gran started work aged 12, her birthday being the day after WW1 started. The year later her future husband joined the army aged 14. Women had to do what the men had done. My mixed pairs partner in sport had a girlfriend. Some of her women's team had careers and some were more like housewives with part time jobs. It was not like any of them could not just be themselves. My grandma's generation had fought for them, having kept the country going when it needed them. I cannot see things from your community perspective, but it does not seem to be such an issue in WSL and other UK leagues from watching Ruesha and others on KZfaq. It is more so in the men's game. My family are actually from a town known more for Rugby League and the town team have games dedicated to Pride and inclusiveness, so men's football seems the one doing the catching up. As for the players getting a fair share, I know such as Lucy Bronze are using their popularity to gain influence for player representation. Not only is she from the same sort of northern English family, with strong women that I spoke of, but their family name was Tough, so despite all the WSL teams this next year being from clubs with men's Premier League teams, there are women at international level who care. I hope Emma Hayes will bring this attitude with her to US as she was also from a working class family.

The money section made me wish there was an opportunity for a women’s team owned by the people. No businesses allowed that way the community who goes and loves it has the ownership and care that they feel in their teams already.
