The "Gardening", "Muffy" rose tattoo, and plant/flower dialogues with Jack Wade seem odd because the rest of the scenes got cut out. Wade originally had a big plant life motif about him but when they cut out a handful of St. Pete scenes we lost the context. Which explains why when Wade shows up with the plane he goes "Banyan trees..." At the end when Bond and Natalya land in the field he shows up, breathes in, exhales, "Tobacco plants :D Uh...I am not here! " He's just really into gardening on the side and it bogged down the film.
