I received the BFD in October 2023. I filed my U visa application in October 2018. I have work authorization for 4 years too. When will I get U status?

How can I replace the No objection letter? I'm from Venezuela, and it is impossible to obtain the letter. Is there another option?

Consider the J1 Hardship Waiver or Persecution Waiver if you are eligible for these. You must have a no objection statement from your home country to get a no objection waiver.

How true is that the NO OBJECTION waiver has shorter processing time than the hardship waiver?
@TheGreenCardLawyer
@TheGreenCardLawyer 3 күн бұрын
In most situations this is accurate. However, many J1 holders apply for a no objection waiver when they are not eligible to do so.

Sir, Parents of US Citizens were deported back to their home country from JFK airport in 2008 due to misrepresentation and allegation of working in the US on a tourist visa. Four years ago, a US citizen child sponsored for a non-immigrant visa for parents but was refused as they got a permanent ban. Can a US citizen child serving in the defense forces help their parents get a waiver?

There are highly educated graduates who studied in USA and working on H1B and waiting for their GC. They have been staying in in USA above 10-15 years. Best thing is to grant gc to those highly tax paying ones. Mainly the backlog is long for Indians. This will benefit the economy and also it will reduce the stress of getting stamps for every 2-3 years. May people are missing weddings, Funerals as they can't find visa slots for 3-6 months.

Thanks for the video! I did a short term research program last year in Philadelphia ( for 6 months ) under the research scholar status . I’m from Ecuador son the 2 year rule applied to me , I applied for a waiver with the NOL and I received my waiver last month ! My question is : I have been being giving the chance to do research at Boston for 1 year next year under the J1 visa again. Because I’m planing to enter into a pediatric residency in the USA in the future . I was wondering if I applied again for a waiver , USCIS will grant me the waiver again . How many times someone can apply for a j1 waiver ? . It would be with the NOL pathway .

Sir, I have a query regarding my J1 waiver. I applied for it in January 2024 and right now it's pending at stage 3 for USCIS decision. Now, I have shifted my job to a different state and my DS2019 has changed and it's with the extended date (May 2025). My old DS2019 is valid till 12.30.2024. My question is should send the USCIS/DOS my new DS2019? am worried that if send it, I will be asked to start the waiver process again. am confused what needs to be done.
