In the music video for the Ricky Skaggs song "Honey (Open That Door)" (1984), Skaggs portrays a neighbor, who is trying to let someone open the door by throwing things, and is apprehended by his friends and police officers, such as playing cards, talking on the phone in a telephone booth, dining in a restaurant, telling the landlord in an upstairs room, taking the chair from a bedroom and rocking when she talks on the telephone, and climbing up on the ladder causing Skaggs to fall, in which a bald man woke up. In the end, Skaggs and his friends are trying to let them open the door with the police officer, who keeps throwing things.👍

Oh my goodness, I hadn't seen this music video since I was a little girl. I forgot Mayor Koch was in it and actor David Keith at the end. Thanks for the memories! Back when music videos were fun to watch.

Ricky there is a family I love so much Brandenbergers. Perhaps I know them. They are a bluegrass gospel family. They do not play for profit or gain. They play because they love Jesus. They are Amish. I love them so much Ricky. Bethany plays mandolin just like you. She is a whopper. Boy she is just out of this world. Sometimes I wonder if she is. She is so sweet as are all the Brandenbergers. Father Brandenberger Victor had been given a 50 dollar donation recently. He said he would use it to help repair Bethany,s mandolin or replace it. I am retired. I have no money. It breaks my heart to have found this out. Bethany I know loves playing her mandolin. Is there any way you might find a way to help them. I know Jesus will find a way to help Bethany. Please Ricky. You know a lot of people and can. Thank you Ricky from the bottom of my heart. I love these people. They have money. They are very meager people.

That steel guitar player looks at Ray Flacke just as approvingly as I do. Was fortunate to see him live with Skaggs in 1980 and I’ve been a fan since.
