Sorry I have been AWOL and missed this one, Kevin. Lovely job on a terrific looking car! There's an actual 4-door exactly like that Corgi about 20 kilometres from my house! Loved the Press rescue too - good to see a bit of proper recycling!

Nice job, that coach is ready for another 70 years of play service - they never wear out. Also a great video and very informative as well, thank you for it. I had one of these coaches when I was a child and never really appreciated the beauty of its lines until seeing your restored example today, so further thanks are due to you. Now lets get down to the important stuff; what are those things with different coloured twisted strips in them at the back right hand side of your working area? I spent far too much time trying to work out what they are when I should have been watching the action.

@@davidwelch6796 Many thanks for your lovely comment David..Those items that drew your eye are nail dotting pens. I use them for applying paint to circular detail such as headlights etc..

Just dipped back into this one as I'm about to reassemble mine and can't remember how the spring goes in 🙄 I notice that i didn't comment....... Lovely job mate, really looks the part. 👍🏻👏🏻👌🏻 Our neighbour had one of these in the early/mid 60s, in black. All the local kids used to stand and stare at it, as it was so different from the run of the mill cars we were used to seeing!

Nicely done. Ive done a couple of these for grandsons and im getting the hang of them now. The biggest pain in the duff is if you lose the lock spring from the winding gear 😖 👍🏻👌🏻👏🏻

I have done four of these: three models, one of them twice, and all to Code3. There's an original one in blue and grey, like your donor vehicle, which was playworn and was left alone. Of the other three, one was a Post Office vehicle with roller shutters on the load platform, which was redone as a Castrol oil service truck for a classic 'paddock'; one was done in blue with alloys and a battery operated headlamp, plus milk bottle load from an Oxford CA Bedford and the third and final one was chopped into a timber-flatbed pickup and loaded with Garden Supplies as a Landscape Gardner's drey. They are such fun to do! I loved the finish on yours: quite charming. I could sit and do Code3 versions of these all day!
