I was at this concert-one of my fondest memories. I also had a cassette recording of this broadcast which I lost many years ago…Thank you for posting this. I feel like I’m able to relive this great evening from so many years ago, just by listening to this again…Long live the Count of Red Bank…

What a gem. Have not listened yet imamd i have goosebumps
Isn't it weird that i'm enjoying a 25 years old bootleg better than the recent stuff? They still had it back then...

I'm thinking this must be 1975 with "Heart" added from the no nukes concert in '79

i was doing a youtube search "grateful dead king biscuit" because i am certain that i cassette-taped from a 1979 maybe 1980 King Biscuit that included Minglewood and Althea and i thought it was Nassau Coliseum '80 but not sure that's why i was searching and found this one... does anyone know of the King Biscuit I am referring too?

I was a USAF service member serving at RAF Mildenhall from 76-78. I went to this concert my last weekend before leaving for my next duty station in Hawaii. As I was going to the bathroom from all the pub hopping we were doing that weekend, I saw an open window in the hallway. I know this sounds crazy, but there was a rickety old chair nearby. I put it under the window and hoisted myself out the window. I found myself on the roof of the HO with the large red signage lit up. It was amazing. I climbed back down and went and got my buddy we use to call PA, (I think since he was from Pennsylvania.) I said, "You have to come with me. You won't believe what I found." I took him back to the window and we both climbed on to the roof. It was absolutely phenomenal. We had a view over as much of London as the typical foggy London night would allow, fired up some Lebanese blonde, and listened to the music of the great BB King. It was one of the greatest concert experiences of my life. Up their with Knebworth only a couple of months earlier. I lost track of PA after that, but if by remote chance he comes across this, look me up old buddy. I'm still in Hawaii.

ha ha - nice to see.....and hear! i taped this years ago on an old 8 track.....when i converted it to cassette, it played a 'tad' slow (making george's really high harmony vocals not as 'high'). based on this broadcast i went and saw them at the Roxy in L.A......great band, great show and rest in peace Paul & Rusty!

the mix to tape is improved by presence of vocal mics - & as always, supreme tech was/is involved in staging this band, wonder could they have had a wall of sound, of their own PS the gear shipped to South America in 73 would be home audiophile, today, certainly in Japan

they need to let people download this set. I saw them in '79 but the acoustics on this one are better. They was really good in '79. I have seen them multiple times; they are one of the best soul-funk bands ever. Intentional scope and reach.
