How would you compare/rate it to the Held Carese Evo GTX+ Torno pants or similar Rev'it jackets and pans??? I love the idea of being able to put a rain proof layer over the main jacket. Can you put the pans into the boots or they are only designed to go over the boots?

Hi, the Rev'it Offtrack 2 are a great alternative. The Leatt I would say has a more premium look and feel both both do a similar job in practice. The Held I am not so familiar with. Boots are designed to go over the top. Thanks, Andrew

Hmm. I thought the 145 is "kerb weight" so basically with fluids. "Kerbweight is the weight of the vehicle including a full tank of fuel and all standard equipment. It does not include the weight of any passengers, cargo, or optional equipment."

Just purchased a blue colored scheme sized XL weight around 1480... Tested fitment and it was good.. Using it for daily road to work commute and realised whenever I remove it from my head it kind of like pulling my ears and feels like a 7 years old school naughty boy being pull by angry history teacher... Did you all had the same issue?

Great boots but they need to make them in a larger size. People wear 48's also. Come on Revit!

I've had my Scott Dual Raid jacket and pants since 2013. They are fabulous. This is the refreshed version, which is even better. I'll be buying this version in the future!

Thank you so much for pointing out the various CE ratings for impact/resistance! I am often looking at adventure/enduro gear for riding things like the TET tracks. Most often these trips do include quite a lot of stretches on-road where I'd like to be wearing AA/2 protection. However, most adventure/enduro gear that is lightweight does not include this level of protection. Obviously there's some brands that do: Adventure Spec, Rev'it Dirt, Mosko, but these are in the upper segment. There seems to be a gap in the market where these Scott garmets fit nicely 👍

Literally, every trouser I have bought, the knee armour is too low, they cover my shins and not my knees. So these trousers may actually fit me.

This is rad. As a long time fan of Urban Rider for a number of years, I can't explain how refreshing it is to see you guys dive into the Adv scene with a dedicated IP. I, for one (and rather naively) had no idea Scott made this level of product. The Dualraid is killer! So good to see the retro leather panelling thrown in with the bright yellow accent zips. Looks like a genuine high performance, modern tech jacket with some unique styling cues to appeal to those who like form as well as function, like myself! Seriously, well done for showcasing this stuff to the UK market and diving into what is a rather generic segment (dare I say it!) you're smashing it. Congrats with the new venture Andrew and team. Looking forward to more. 🤙🏼⚡🏁

The problem with Klim isn't the quality alone, it's the inconsistency. Tried to make a warranty claim on a pair of their gloves, and my first batch of photos was rejected because they were too "low quality", and the 2nd batch was rejected because the quality was too high, leading to the file size being too large for their system. My Klim pants have held up wonderfully, and my 3 pairs of different Klim gloves have all been trash, with serious quality issues (especially regarding stitching, seams falling apart while exclusively road riding) Thank you for the in depth review, this is one of the helmets I'm considering currently

Great review! In fact, it’s the best I’ve seen yet ? So I’ve always wore a large on most brands ? I’ve measured my bean and I’m 58cm exactly. Not sure the medium would work?

Many of us that do layers for DS/Adv have a single jacket and multiple trousers. The reason for that is that layering doesn't really work well with trousers. Accordingly, more time spent on trousers' overview would be appreciated. :)

Warning: If you plan on making use of a hydration bladder feature in the jacket, then don't expect for the internal weight distribution straps to be useful. Already discussed with Leatt support this week and verified the straps are not adjustable, so the bladder cavity takes the full weight and the jacket pulls down against your throat.
@AdventureRiderMoto
@AdventureRiderMoto 28 күн бұрын
Thanks for the feedback. A riding buddy of mine uses the bladder in his jacket and doesn't have this issue so maybe it affects some jackets and not others. Maybe he just has a small neck!

I ordered the flow tour as soon as it was available in the states. I absolutely love it! I will say I'm a "typical American" so I had to size up. I rode for almost 8 hours on an 80°F day with around 70% humidity and was perfectly comfortable. I'm considering ordering the multi tour as well for non summer riding.

Sounds like the Japanese and European motorcycle manufacturers need to step it up. This bike has everything I want. Would love it if Honda or KTM would make something equivalent, without spending thousands on mods.

I really like the layering system for the jacket. I actually have a very similar setup in that I combined the Nucleus protector jacket (which can be worn separately) and the Component 2 H2O for waterproofing. No it's not GoreTex, but having ridden in the rain with it there is no noticeable difference (ie, still dry after lots of rain). The Component has a bit more ventilation and looks to me like it is also a bit thinner/less bulky to pack and has a bit better placed and more ventilation. That combination also about halves the price. Although you need a jersey with the Nucleus vest. Not for any protection, but it only comes in black and that becomes hot very quickly in the sun... I'm still looking for a solution for the pants. Currently I have the defender 2 GTX pants. It's a nice pants, but has become too large. Having had a laminated pants and now this removable waterproof layered pants. Here are my findings for both setups: Laminated: Damage the outer layer, bye bye waterproofing. For me, the pants gets the most abuse. Kneeling down on rocks, brushes, contact with the bike etc. They have to endure a lot. I prefer it if the fabric would be able to handle my abuse, but I'll always doubt if it can. Removable waterproof layer: I don't remove the waterproof layer, as it's a pain to get it back in there when it starts raining. Cooling vents have less benefits due to this. The outer layer still gets soaking wet in the rain and in a downpour water starts running over the waterproof layer which is often in direct contact with my legs (cold). It also stays wet for a long time. Does anyone have any recommendations for me to look at?

Question. At 8:40 yo have some Revit winter jacket underneath, which one is it? And in those scenarios what kind of underwear do you use? Revit too? Thermal? And the boots! Are those Gaerne boots?? Goretex??

Been looking at the offtrack and the multitour 7.5. Both reviews have been so thorough, honestly the best gear reviews I’ve come across. Now I’m a bit stuck between the two, as the price point is pretty close with the sales, about $200 difference. If you had to choose which set would you go for?

I honestly couldn't say. If I was riding a more snazzy bike I might go for the Leatt option but if I just needed the job done I'd be more than happy with the Rev'it option. As I think I said right at the end, the good news is there's great options everywhere! - Andrew

Excellent design, good engineering. Is membrane long enough over the wp pants to cover u fully? I disagree. I tried 10.000 mm wp. Not satisfied. I would put lower limit at 20.000mm with increased breathebillity, like "gtx active" membrane performance. Dear Leatt NPD, subscribe & follow me 4 more advices. 17:32

I agree with your review it is slightly more noisey thank my tour4 I made the change as someone with a big head I use 2XL &tour 5 doesn’t come in 2XL anymore 🤬. I love this Krios the sun on a up to down visor only takes a few seconds to alter so not a real issue for me . Overall it’s a 9/10 helmet imo so glad I payed out for one

This was a good review, it has been a great helmet for me, but I've had a couple of issues. I went on a road trip to Mexico and didn't bring the peak blanking panel things so had to keep it on. After being on the highway all day around 80 mph, there was some pretty high pressure on the front of my head from where the EPS foam cuts off, it actually left a bit of a welt in my head and was super uncomfortable. I eventually stuffed a paper towel below the head liner and it mostly fixed the issue. This was my fault for not being able to take the peak off and being on the highway for so long. Another thing is I can't get the chin curtain to seat properly after taking the cheekpads out. I can't fully seat the little tabs that go between the EPS layer and the shell itself, perhaps with some fiddling I can get them closer, but isn't a deal breaker. Again those are minor issues, I'm generally happy with it - in fact I bought another one after I crashed in my first one a few weeks ago. The lighter weight makes more of a difference to me since I have my Sena and a GoPro on it so the lower base weight makes a big difference.
