In Korea, most of people can do this. I think it is because we didnt have peeler back in the days. Culture differences 😊😊

Great technique. I just figured out that a mini sugar spoon works just as quickly, is a nice shape and removes just the right portion. I am also thinking of sharpening the edge just slightly to make it the perfect tool! (Now that I have seen this I might also take the opportunity to improve my knife skills)

Thanks RanchLife. I'm sort of addicted to having my implements be shave sharp, so I balk at the sugar spoon. I encourage you to try the sharpening. In fact, I've thought of sharpening the edges of medium serving spoons to help me gut winter squash (that was back when I would have to gut 20-40 winter squash a day working at a food plant) Glad you enjoyed!
