god i hate the ships that go against what has been clearly stated or shown in the show. like shipping ace and/or aro people, shipping gay people in straight relationships or characters that genuinly hate each other or never talked to one another and/or are clearly incompatible. This started as a joke (ironically because of this video lol), but it has since become my personal crack theory about Gaster: W.D. Gaster is a character from the world of Deltarune who, due to experiments involving Dark Worlds, ended up somehow falling ass-backwards into Undertale. He made a name for himself, but always wanted to get back to his own world anyway. When he saw the opportunity to do something crazy, he took it, jumping head-first into The Core, splitting himself across time and space (and part of him did get back to Deltarune, although it was only part of him and he seemed to have more awareness of things.) When you go to the true lab after pacifist run in undertale, in the room with 3 refrigerators if you don't clear the fog, and interact with them, you'll notice, that 1 of them is "Shaped like a tree", and the other is "Shaped like a man", and if i remember it correctly, if you interact with the "man-shaped" refrigerator for the 2nd time, it will say that the man seems to be disappeared

Something to remember is that Gaster was supposedly scattered across time and space, it makes sense you're always paranoid that his theme is present because maybe it is. Maybe he is.

Just to say, that kanji and katakana usage is not "odd", it's an old, near ancient writing system called kanbun kundokutai (漢文訓読体), used back in the Meiji era as the writing style of the officials. It can be said to be "odd", since nowadays nearly no one writes like this, but it surely makes sense considering that since Gaster is a scientist and lost in time, he would try to be as polite and formal as possible, while sticking with such old and obscure writing style.

I know im like 4 months late, but since you brought up that possibly sans and papyrus is from Deltarune, id like to build apon it. In the genocide route, sans' dialogue mentions that he gave up on returning, but not referring to the surface. This could also help support this idea along with the papyrus Q&A grass green thingy u brought up. The hidden machine behind their house could be a time travel machine that sans tried to build and return back with many failed attempts, and gave up on it. This could also explain why he's so knowledgeable on timelines, or rather assuming that Frisk is a 'time traveler', because he experienced it himself. Idk how this could tie in with gaster, but it's a silly little thought id like to bring up
