The loss of contrast in this lens looks realistic though if I may add. It's no different than someone shining a small bright light in your face. When someone shins a light in your face your eyes lose contrast or you feel like its "blinding" you. btw idk if this will matter, probably won't but it weighs 600 grams. I just weighed mine on a food scale. Also, your street film was epic, great job instilling a feel into it. This is what distinguishes a film from a video. A film has emotions. I subbed purely based on ending clips.

Hi Shane. Thanks for your comment on this. I took the weight on a spec sheet. So I might be wrong. For the ending sequence, I love to do this kind of stuff, I have a few in my HDD, but this one was quickly done.Quickly edited. Nothing memorable, I am thinking to open a second channel just for this... maybe.

Had it for a while on a Lumix S5 for documentary purpose. Sold it because of the minimal focus, not good enough for me between 35mm and 50mm, but it should not be a problem on S35 or m43. Otherwise good lens ! I would suggest the 28-85mm f/4, closer focus distance (0.9m against 1,5m for the 35-105mm).

As I recently mentioned on another of your uploads, and I think you'll agree, the Minolta Celtic 135mm 2.8 is crazy sharp and if you do your homework, pick the right ebay seller, you'll get a lens that has stunning resolution and real character. For around 40 bucks. Yes, you can't go wrong with this focal length from the 70's from real name manufacturers. I'd say more, but I have something in my throat..

I was selling a Kodak Cine II loaded with 4 lenses and all the tricks in case, plus it had provenance with a brass tag of the previous owner on itwho was a set designer for more than one Hollywood company. Plus a servicing done to it. Had it for 700, and a guy contacted me to tell me it was only worth 300. I turned around and changed the price to 1100..

My first vintage lens to add to my Fuji X primes was the Minolta Celtic 135mm 2.8. Got a clean copy for 28 bucks 3 years ago. I could not believe how sharp it was, and I have owned Contax RTS lenses, Canon L, and Fuji X primes like the 90mm 2.0 Something happens to your brain when you get this level of quality this cheap. It becomes your favorite. Now I have a bunch of the fast Minolta Rokkor 50's, and it's more about the RENDERING with those. Admire your energy and fun. GET THE CELTIC.

@@fredr. It is valuable to see items such as this used in normal unstructured situations and it is appreciated. As you said all this looks like is a tunnel-vision effect not bokeh. I just bought a "swirly" bokeh filter and am eager to see if it works or not as I can not find a valuable "use test" like this one for it. I like getting an effect "in-camera" and not using PS to imitate an effect.

On the contrary, no mention anywhere that MIr 1B was used. More likely that an Helios and a Jupiter was used for the Emperor and daughter sequence and that's it. But people just want to to believe what they want and dismiss the 98% of the rest of the movie that was shot on: ARRI Moviecam 40mm T2 CANON 50-1000mm T5-8.5 OPTICA Elite 135mm T1.9 ZERO OPTIK Rokkor 58mm T1.3 ARRI Moviecam 60mm T2 ARRI Moviecam 50mm T2 ARRI DNA 65mm T2.8 ARRI Moviecam 60mm T2 And filmed on Arri Alexa 65 and Mini LF.
