You can also get a short cable that reverses the polarity for the 9 volt. That way you don't have to cut anything or solder or anything

Right, because it's not the cables that have the weird polarity, it's the guitar pedal standard being the opposite of normal outputs.

OK I really need anyone's help here. I just got my t42 last friday aug 11th. And I already wrote to Gforce twice about this and they have yet to send me an intelligent reply. On the newest models, Gforce has decided to force a new feature on the T42. When you keep the throttle down for more than 8 seconds straight, the throttle remains on full power (cruise) even though you have released the handle. They have confirmed that to me yesterday. And that is a default setting now. You don't even need to activate it, it is setup by default and its annoying when you need to slow down, because it does not. In short, the cruise gets on automatically and to turn if off, you need to press the throttle again or use the brakes. I asked them, well great ! now how do you turn it off ? Because, you know its dangerous. And that was their official reply. «Just press the throttle again or use the brakes» hell yeah ! Now I told them we need to turn this off, it doesnt make sense that you can't turn it off, and i am still waiting for a reply from them. I looked in the whole settings and i can't find anything related to the throttle/auto cruise and yes i have the YL80C manual. Anyone who can help me with this would be most welcome !

I like my 42. The only problem is I've had a hell of a run with quality control. It came with a rim that had a huge dent in it. Had to get another. Bent rotor on that wheel. Just went and bought another. Then I'm riding down the road and hit a bump. Not hug but not small. Bike quits. A connection broke loose inside the ignition assembly. So they send a new one. Had no connections hooked up. Basically a pre assembly line piece. So bow I have to take it to a bike shop to have that done or the old one fixed and they'll reimburse. Bike is great when it's running. I've put 700 miles on. Seems I've gotten a growing list of things that keep happening

You can change from 0-3 to 0-5 or even 0-9 which gives you a much finer control over the power delivered to each pedal assist level rather than changing the individual settings for each assist level manually.

If figured it out with the Fold 3. Which has weird screen sizes. I forced it to run in 4:3 in open screen folded out mode and it worked fine, no tone Disconnections. I see you're not using a Fold 3, so it won't be exactly the issue I had.but it might be a screen/display issue. Try changing some Display settings. I verified this by install the app on an older hpne with a more normal screen size and no customizations and it worked fine. So it wasn't the App or Speaker. Have you custom changed any display settings? What phone have you got?

So far I haven’t had any issues with my bike. I haven’t had to use their customer service but as you know all these foreign bikes are made by the same manufacturers and just have different labels placed on them. Most are not backed by a customer service but that what you pay for. If you want customer service then maybe look into a known company like Lectric Bikes or Aventon, Sondors. Thanks for the video. I was really hoping to see a little bit more uphill, trying it out on steeper and steeper up hills trails. You might have done that to get up there where you did your big glide, but you mainly showed going down. Almost anything with wheels can go downhill fairly easily, what will this thing do going up a fairly steep grade? I live in mountainous country and would like to know before I purchase. If it's not going to get me any further up the hill than the Lectric xp2, 500 versus the 750 motor, it won't be near as much use to me. Thanks

Hi Don, the battery used on this bike is available elsewhere too, for a cheaper price. It’s a standard battery that goes in all these types of bikes and when I say that I mean that this is a common bike frame that many companies just slap their name on. For example, Lectric bikes have this same frame on their first version and it uses the same battery so with that said, it’s readily available, you just have to look around.

@Incacal71 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Fred, I used pedal assist level 2 or 3 I can't remember. When you set up the bike you can have different levels of assist. I like to pedal (for some workout) and have the bike assist me for a bit. You probably can have it go up hill with no assist but your battery will drain a lot quicker. Its a balance, if I want a long ride, about 25-30 miles then I usually do pedal assist 2 or 3. Weight is also a factor and I weigh about 190lbs.

@@johnw65 wow. 34mph that’s fast! Glad you got it all worked out. Yeah that gear change is good although, give it some time to really consider it. I find myself rarely going fast enough to have to AIR pedal. Once at those speeds the battery drains pretty quickly so you’ll eventually find a happy place. Mine is around 13mph so no need for a sprocket. If I do go too speed it’s usually just a couple seconds and I prefer to have my lowest gear possible for some climbs. It’s a bit of a trade off if you get the sprocket I believe you’ll lose the lowest gear. Good luck and have fun!
