HEnds was a good Halloween movie. Could it have been better? Sure. They could have inserted the Corey story into H18 as the boyfriend instead of Cameron and it would have worked much better. But the new trilogy wasn't about Michael Myers chasing Laurie Strode. It was about The Shape haunting an entire town and how it affected their lives. Michael Myers just happened to be The Shape during the story.

Unfortunately, I think even if carpenter got a 3 picture deal it wouldn’t have been all 3 Halloween. Carpenter is famous for his ability to negotiate in his favor, following the shit he dealt with with 78’. I think he would have ended up funding two of his passion projects.

referring to the DGG situation, and how he was perceived and judged on the back of Ends, he was absolutely right to go his own way with the story. Giving the fans what they want is never a good reason to take a story in a particular direction. What would the the point of making it at all? if people want their own story they can make a fan film. Let the director make their vision, then let the chips fall where they will. I don't want to see a film where I know 100% what is going to happen. I want to be surprised. It's like watching a football match and already knowing the score, its never as exciting as going in to it not knowing what will happen. I like, and dislike, things in both Kills and Ends, but I am still glad we got them. Even the likes of H5 and Resurrection on 1st watch, is preferable to watching a film that does nothing that I didn't already expect
