I know you are busy with your job right now, but I heard that you meant to say Ralph Simpson not Sampson as fans would be confused for that one. Anyways, McGinnis was the LeBron of the ABA that fans was comparing to and what the NBA's Pacers fans didn't know that McGinnis is the real Pacers franchise record holder for most points in a game when he scored a career high of 58 points in the ABA while Reggie Miller came in second with 57 points, but holds the Pacers' NBA franchise record. RIP George McGinnis.

If Andrew Tony shot a ball off balanced you knew it was going in. Had amazing body control from all angles on the offensive end.

Dave Cowens was way overrated. And he was one the dirtiest players ever! He should never have won MVP. KAREEM had a much better year.

He was also a better defender than he was given credit for. Until his departure to Utah, the Bullets were the only Eastern Conference team Jordan had never scored 40+ against.

The bucks waived A player that was just as a good of pure shooter in brian winters but possessed athleticism on the level of Micheal jordan . His name was Bobby Austin Cincinnati bearcat 1978-1982 . Austin had nba star written all over him. He could shoot and could jump like David Thompson

Now that was a great Pacers team. The Davis boys, Reggie, Rik, Mark Jackson, and D. McKey. They could’ve won a championship, a few bounces here, a few bounces there…

You had to honor AT’s driving ability. Very effective jab step. Lethal jump shot and at 6’3” he would blow by lots of defenders. His arm length was crazy. Great talent

Although people like James Harden, Larry Bird and Kiki VanDeWeghe have been credited with inventing the step back move or the fadeaway move, I remember a childhood friend of mines in Puerto Rico doing it back in the mid 70’s. At first guys would say he was running with the ball but then we all got used to it. His style of shooting the ball, the way he held the ball right before shooting, was very similar to Larry Bird's, before there was a Larry Bird in the NBA.

The year was 1971, preseason game Baltimore Bullets vs. Philadelphia 76ers, Gus Johnson came down on a fast break went up on a dunk attempt over the 76ers' center, Gus Johnson banged his elbow on the back of the rim, the capacity crowd😮went silent for 60 seconds totally disbelieving what we just saw 👀.
