I have bad knees and am considering the drive over. I'm about the same height, build and haircut as you. Is it hard on the knees getting this deck on?
@BigGuyLittleTractor

It certainly can be. That being said, the parts that are hard in the knees still exist for the drive over. You have to connect the PTO and attach it at the front (I am pretty sure).

When using edge tamers, place a very thin wood, rubber, or plastic shim between the tightening screw and your inside bucket to prevent the tightening screw scratching the bucket and causing rust.

Thanks for posting these great tips (2&4) with the boards on the bucket. As a 15+ year tractor (JD2320 - stuff on my channel) user I did not think about this option for my loader (I have a set of tamers) and would just switch out from 'loader mode' to 'plow mode' automatically. This gives me an option to not go back and forth between modes on those 'smaller snowfalls' which while they only take about 20-30 minutes to switch up the tractor, your tips give me a time saver option on smaller snow falls. All the best and God Bless. 🙏❤🇺🇸

I have been plowing for quite a while tried different pieces of equipment. for a big driveway or parking lot. I love the snow pusher smaller driveway, or a long driveway. I have recently bought an angle blade I find the angle blade works awesome for that. A snowblower would work great for a long driveway as well. but it’s a pain in the butt to switch from blade to snowblower just to do one part driveway. The next storm I am going to do a comparison between the box pusher and angle blade. Great video

@@BigGuyLittleTractor I used mine snowblower the first winter I had it. Put it on and left it. It’s not a big deal to put on. But if you’re going to switch back and forth like I would do it’s not worth it. Especially if you don’t have a garage to do it in and store the stuff. Outside is not the answer. It’s hard to put loader on if it happens to snow and it makes the tractors unlevel when you put it back on. I and looking at making mine able to go on loader. We haven’t had lots of snow so I am not going to worry about it this year. I am going to publish a video comparing a box pusher to angle blade next week. I am surprised by my findings

Hey man good job on making your own.. pushers are awesome I didn’t finish the video only because I have to go actually go to work and plow. But honestly with the pusher you made with the bucket, I wouldn’t even bother dumping just because you have the length with the boards just not the hight. The snow in the bucket is minimal in the overall scheme of things. Just to keep the speed up overall awesome man.. I’m subscribing!

@BigGuyLittleTractor
@BigGuyLittleTractor 5 ай бұрын
I sure have. I watch your Channel too by the way! Your Plowing videos are what made me get a pusher. The chains make a huge difference for me. I can plow heavy and wet snow up hill while driving in ice with those things. They are a studded diamond pattern of some kind. I want to experiment more with weight to see how much of a difference that makes in the future (without chains). You have a paved driveway though right? I would worry about them wrecking it a bit. I could be wrong.

That was interesting. I've never used chains pushing snow with R14 tires. Now, I don't have hills really, maybe just some slight inclines. When I had a subcompact I had to be realistic about how big of a bite I'd take, but never really had problems with traction with the R-14 tires. I did always have ballast on the back though. Same with my larger compact tractor so far this year. Have had good traction without chains. Interesting video, bummer you didn't get the 360 footage. I've had the same issue as well before. Now I always make sure it's in 360 mode, not single camera.

I learned my lesson with the camera. It never had trouble with light and fluffy snow. We get such a mix of ice, snow and water that the traction was really bad.

Watched this and immediately went out and bought a pusher. I got a 60" because I have chains and its a 23S with the backhoe. Cleared my driveway in about half the time of my UTV with a 60" plow. I was considering a 3 point pto snowblower but i think the pusher with the weight of the backhoe is the way to go. Id suggest chains and some suitcase weights if you find yourself needing more traction. Thanks for the video.
