I disassembled my six year old Razer Mamba, got out a soft toothbrush and some professional grade sugar soap. A few drops of soap and a bit of water on the toothbrush was all that I needed to scrub the plastic parts for only around five minutes. Sticky surface completely gone to reveal a nice shiny smooth plastic shell. Granted, it doesn't feel as good but at least it no longer sticks to my hand.

Only have a broken one to compare to, but on a working one, is the metal at the back of the socket (the metal tab with a 'nail' welded through it that looks and acts like it connects to the center pin) supposed to connect to the two central soldered side terminals (The ones which don't go through the board)? If this is the case and the problem is that the connection is broken inside the terminal, has anyone tried simply leaving everything in place and soldering a thin wire from the back piece I just described to the outer, central soldered terminal on the board? Seems like this should fix the problem, no?

It's a simple trick for all type of rubberized mice. Once it looses the rubber texture (give it's age and usage) you just need to take it apart, dip the plastic into 90% concentration alcohol to clean and saturate it and after it dries (hence the white-ish parts) just reheat the surface with a heatgun until it turns into a shiny black. That way, even though you won't get it back the way it was, it'll be one solid color and same feel.

Two of the three, small release tabs that hold the keyboard in place either got stuck inside the holes or they broke inside there. Am I able to access that area to repair or push them back through? Great video btw

See how too remove keyboard, on this model its really simple, open the ram cover underneath there are 2 small screws to remove in top corners, now turn laptop back over, at the top of the keyboard there are four tabs, slide them down to release keyboard, lift keyboard carefully, and disconnect from laptop. Done. Enjoy

Hi I've dismantled the pc and can see that the connection to the circuit board is loose - actually the track on the circuit board is lifting. I would like to do away with the plug and jack and just solder a + and - cable ont to the circuit board but can't see where. can you advise? Thanks
