Dyllin, I'm so very sorry to hear about Elsie. It's so hard to lose them. Gracie just turned 17 yrs old. She has a lot of medical issues, but is doing ok for now.

@@GracieRoche, I love my little spicey sausage, aka dachsund. She is learning now that I'm training a puppy, however, she and another little weiner were crated for many many years and only allowed out to rome the streets a few times a day. They ate, drank, slept, peed, and pooped in their crate. A friend of mine rescued them and I was happy to give Bailey a home. She's somewhere between 6 and 8 years old according to our vet. She's been here for 2 years now and only goes in the crate at night or when I do the shopping, doctor's appointments. She has a large crate with plenty of room and has pillows and blankets with a water bowl. I don't work any longer. The only reason she goes into the crate at all is because she goes through the garbage every chance she gets to scrounge for food. She and her crate mate had to fight for food. Those people had another crate with two more puppies in it and one died. I told my friend to report that family. I have no clue who they are or I would do it.

dcarr, Gracie is now 15 1/2 yrs old. She has been diagnosed with stage 2 kidney disease. We are doing all we can for her, although there is no cure. She continues to live a very spoiled life. Thank you for asking about her. <3
