I have to disagree about Reynold and the Deacon. Geralt definitely would have brought the 'priest/deacon' down there, merely to show both the Deacon and Reynold that there is good on both sides. Geralt is smart enough to know that Reynold is intent on killing a Priest of the Eternal Fire. Therefore, he'd be wary of Reynold's insistence, but he'd also want to make sure the Deacon was made aware of the atrocities done by the Church of the Eternal Fire. Ultimately, Geralt would bring the Deacon down to reason with Reynold's logical side, while also making the Deacon aware of the true nature/atrocities of the Church of the Eternal Fire.

They might have written a story so horribly that everyone who watched the show is traumatized forever, and they might have also ruined 1,000 years of Witcher lore, but at least they had inclusivity.

Love the video man. You're the best around for the juicy witcher lore videos. The dig at beans on toast cut me deep though... be better

We will never get games like these again. Never. Not even from CDPR, which already show signs of WOKE/DEI/ESG infestation.

The way I always thought about Karadin's correspondence is that they used a code, just in case someone intercepted the letters.

At first I wasn't going to comment, as I already liked some comments about the witcher content and the video, but I guess it's better to comment aswell. When I first met your channel I was looking up a lot of witcher content, and there's a surprisingly low amount of good witcher content so I would love if you made more. I was kinda sad that you had already covered most of the witcher gaming stuff as I knew you might not cover as much witcher content as you used to, but I've also watched and liked your other reviews so I'm probably going to stick around anyway.

Blood and wine what would geralt do?
@D0P3NA5TY16 сағат бұрын
i SOMEHOW got the good ending to blood and wine on my first playthrough without looking it up. 😎 didnt even know there were other depressing outcomes. thought the over the top fairytaleness was just part of the dlcs ending.

Though I can see where wine wars could be considered tedious, I have to say that having a good quest with a satisfying payoff tied to a number of undiscovered locations really motivated me to have a little exploration trip arround the area with the best loot, far more than 3-5 consecutive "find hidden treasure" in Velen or 10 "sunken treasures" in Skellige undiscovered locations. The quest where you have to go to 15 undiscovered locations whilst clearing bandit camps and helping Knights Errand, was Imo worse story wise but ok as far as motivation to explore goes

Or the mystery assassin was the one who got the viper school witchers caught... which could easily explain why he's not mentioned Witcher lore videos are always welcome btw

As for Berengar - to me what Vesemir says - especially after listening to the original in polish (Tak naprawdę nikt z nas nie znał Berengara = Truth be told/Actually none of us knew Berengar .... he clearly uses past tense here) - I am confident that what he meant is that while yes they DID meet him, no one in Kaer Moren right now can say with any confidence that they knew him. They talked before, but they never got past skin-deep with him, not Vesemir, not Lambert, no one. Which leaves Geralt who at this point has 100% amnesia, and while Vesemir says about Geralt and Berengar meeting "I don't belive so", it's not like Vesemir saw Geralt all the time, and knows everyone he met. There is a chance Geralt simply never told Vesemir about his meting with Berengar. The problem with that theory is how Berengar acts when he and Geralt meet face to face, which makes me even more confused and I hope CDP does something to fix this in the remake.

i like the witcher lore and i like how you dont extrapolate too much on nothing. i would like content about the books for sure.

I'm glad to see that you've picked up on the mystery assassin from Witcher 1. That's a dropped plot points I've been struggling with ever since I completed Witcher 2. After that games' prologue, it really seemed like everyone forgot that the Kingslayers had in fact already sent 1 guy after Foltest in the first game. You get all this insight into the three Kingslayers' adventures and how Geralt was mixed up in them, and literally everyone forgets that there should have been **four** Kingslayers. For the longest time I wasn't able to find any information on the witcher 1 assassin because how easily his existence was glossed over. Some people might subconciously think that it was Serrit or Auckes trying to kill Foltest in Witcher 1 - they do look alike. But yeah Geralt *killed* the Witcher 1 assassin. So how does he fit into the story?
@dibvadegirzim17 сағат бұрын
Ha, I've read that same reddit thread about Karadin and I also was surprised at how confident everyone was with their decision to take him out. As though they had played some part of the quest I had missed, lol. To be honest, the whole 'coming up with elaborate out-of-game theories to reverse-engineer evidence that the choice you picked was the right one in a video game quest that was clearly included before it was fully written' is the most reddit thing ever, haha. Good video

I remember finishing hearts of stone for the first time and saving Olgierd. My reaction to his shift in demeanor was “Oh… he’s actually a sweetheart.” I mean, still a cutthroat but one capable of genuine love, kindness and loyalty. The exact kind of person who WOULD sell his soul to make the person he loves happy. That’s why I ALWAYS choose to save him.

it feels like there's so much care and cleverness into the making of your videos; the witcher youtube community really benefits from having you. so yes, i would fucking love a witcher video every month if it's a comfortable arrangement for you; much love.

I'm all for more Witcher lore! The Proper Bird KZfaq channel used to do great Witcher vids, but she's stepped away from talking about the franchise (for good reason), so there's been a dearth of good Witcher content besides yours.
