Any limit to how high you can extend? I have a perf pipe below surface behind a 5 foot retaining wall with crushed rock fill, and am adding a vertical 4" pipe (with grate) at each end to drain the surface water. Thinking about connecting the vertical to the perf with a 1 way cleanout. Will that cause any problems?

I initially did it this way but then after seeing the comments about how this is not the best way to do it i took it apart and used pvc coupler pieces with pvc primer/cement, it definitely feels more solid and durable that way. Although this method may hold for decades, if you've already going to be there digging up your yard just do it properly.
@RoccosModernLifestyle Жыл бұрын
yeah i would do it differently if I did it today.

DO NOT use those quick connectors underground. Ground movement will cause them to come loose and you sewage pipe will fill with dirt. This isn't just wrong, it's extremely lazy. It's not difficult to use a proper connector and glue in this case.
@twistedstyles Жыл бұрын
I concur, this is the lazy way, most definitely.

Lol, there are so many problems with this, but I love it!! You and I must be related, is do this too!! So funny, I was a little worried the flame would like like a kkk cross but it looks great!! It probably won't last, the pipes will most likely rust quickly, hope not, but it looks really good. And I'm really impressed with the wingnut for the extended control, what a really clever idea, I was thinking a cotter pin or something. Gave me a lot of great ideas, thanks for showing this to us all. Cheers!!

Brut force is correct! I just took my 1972 Mobile Scout Vaquero, down to he frame. Nothing was salvagable except the skin the door drame and the windows. (I could have reused the sinks, showerpan and cooktop but im not putting it all back in . Im reworking the wall construction and i must say the demo was a bitch. All those staples UGH!

There are so many things going on here that is unsafe, first, i didnt notice a regulator to lower thr gas pressure. The way u have it now u will get about 15 minutes out of a bbq tank. The pipe is made to transport gas not to burn it . The black pipe is not made to withstand high temperature.. The holes you drilled in the pipe are way to big. Dude, stop being cheap. For$20 more than what u spent you could have bought a real one. Please take some of thr money you saved and buy a few fire Extinguishers as i didnt see any in your garage or yard. And please dont forget the follow up video when you get burned and have to go to the hospital. Other than that , very creative

Thanks for the great video. I've been looking forward to this build for a while. I ordered all of tbr parts and everything went together great. For some reason tho, the igniter won't work. If I look closely and click the button, I see a spark. Unfortunately, if I turn the gas on and try to light it with the spark it doesn't work. I have to use a lighter. Any ideas?
@RoccosModernLifestyle2 жыл бұрын
I had issues with the lighter as well. ended up being easier to toss a match or use a lighter unfortunately.

@@RoccosModernLifestyle ... Sorry for my inconsiderate post. Your video description promised more than what was delivered and was simply too long for it to be humorous as you may (?) have intended.
