@@user-qr7qv1pd1l unfortunately we are not producing these due to the cost and lack of demand. We now use a simple pulley system to pivot the engine up. Less moving parts to worry about.

That engine will not bolt up. It is too small. You need a GX35 or 50.

I got a similar outboard, GX50, and I noticed I go faster if it's raised up in the mount 6" or so. The plate above the prop inline with the bottom of my canoe works perfect. Maybe the shaft hitting more water adds resistance, or maybe it leverage or something. The engine does sit a little higher, but my canoe is usually loaded, so it's not scary or nuthin'.🤙

Found you from the Crescent owners page. I’ve got a Crew and LT2 I want to have power options for. Have you done any of those? I like this over electric. That Kcraft is sweet, probably picking one up later this year!

This would be no different really than the Nucanoe Pursuit. You need a mount for the rear which I think Crescent offers now. The other option is to a Wilderness mount. I have those on all of my Crescent SUP. Call my company if you need any help or advice.

About 40 minutes wide open. This is always on run time. I have an external tank 2 gallon tank that lasts an entire weekend of fishing. It plums in through the cap to refill the main tank with a few squeezes of the bulb. It sits behind the seat.

Big fan of your work. I run a slightly modified game fisher 3hp on a flat back osgian, My number one rule on the canoe is keep your head in the center of the canoe.

I appreciate it. It was quite humbling to roll the canoe and just laugh at myself for assuming it was as stable as a kayak. Without a person as a counterweight and no gear to level the load, I found out the hard way. 🤣

Not sure what you are asking. Your Honda outboard is made in China. That is the only one of Honda’s outboard that is.

That is so not true. They have oil slingers inside of the crankcase to prevent any problems with oil getting the carburetor. The only issue would be from laying it on the side where the crankcase breather to the carb is located. Oil could foul the carb.

Is the prop supposed to turn in 6? I ran mine and thought I had a neutral then speeds in 5,4,3 but now it seems to run in 6,5,4 and won't get up to three.

The throttle starts in neutral and has 4 positions thereafter. You can adjust the cable tension at the shifter and also at where it bolts down with the stainless washers. If the prop turns at 6 you need to loosen the tension at the throttle or move a washer at the connector on the engine.

I love all the different motor setups, I see. Kayak fishing, cruising the lakes, oceans. I run my J2 PP 768 Bixpy on my Oldtown Autopilot, and then use my Minnkota when i'm out to a spot. But I have my 2019, 2.5hp Suzuki outboard, I do run it once in a while, just for fun. It took me a long time to design a solid transom mount, but that's the best part. 🌊 🛶 🎣 5 to 6mph, is extremely fast on a solid, stable, fishing kayak.

You can add a water exit exhaust. They are not as loud as you think. These are not 2 stroke loud.

Simple yet very effective...re the centrifugal clutch material, do you use the std material for saltwater or recommend other?...Also, are you now using stainless steel props?.

I use the commercial clutches which are semi metallic and I have never changed one from high use. I have been using the stainless 2-blade for about 4 years now.

I bought a KT144FC. Oops. Does the Honda have a steel bore? Is it tame and smooth for long trolling. The Tomking had an absurdly advanced ignition timing to fix and aluminum bore. The investment castings are the best I've ever seen.

can i cut the shaft n shorten it? i want a really short shaft so its not too far lower than the kayak. so that means shortening the shart housng n drive line inside

I have 3 different size drive shafts. Shortening would require you to have the shaft splined. That gets expensive. Send me an email from the website and let’s see what I can do for you.

I have created a water exit that routes exhaust under the hull. The new 50cc engine does not need to run high RPM’s to maintain speed. Check the latest Outback video.

These are 4 stroke Honda engines. They are built to run at any angle. Never had an oil leak in the 100’s built.
