I'm not gonna lie I love Joseph, he's super under rated especially with his contract. I also love Chychrun but I can see the benefit for him AND the team from trading him. He's a great player but he's probably not what Ottawa needs. Moving on from Chychrun can make sense, I don't think trading Joseph would give us the same value but I trust management at this point. As of writing this, there are still Ullmark to Ottawa rumours but I'll believe that when I see it lol

I make sure to pick one sens vs leafs game every season with my ticket package. I was there for the Grieg slapshot and it was glorious.. all those leafs fan were real quiet on the bus ride home 😂

The thing was (20+yrs ago) Ottawa was so much better on and off the ice back then. They were the dirty rats that we beat easily by outscoring them with skill. ……until the playoffs and our team cracked. But overall Ottawa was the better team for years and the favorite going into the playoffs …..until we kept losing. Great episode.

I 100% agree - I think management has done a good job. I think to get a better idea of what the team already has and will need, they had to be quiet and make small moves initially. If they made a bunch of big swings it would have made fans excited, but it would have been premature and affected the team long-term. It's a business, and it's unfortunate but it'll take time - something we have already endured but now I think we have better leadership. It sucks but it'll probably be another couple of seasons before we see significant improvement. In the meantime, I hope players like Grieg keep it entertaining, Stu gets more flack for his professional school of diving, and Mr. Brightside himself keeps on being an absolute vibe

Going to be a very critical summer for this teams future

Impatient fans. “Best in class” I think is a long term goal. It will take a while to get there. I don’t think andlauer came in and said that implying they were going to go from garbage to best in class overnight. So that’s more on fans misunderstanding and impatience. They look to be making well thought out solid moves on and off the ice. So far so good. Let’s see where we are in 3 years.

A ton of “frustrating decisions” for sure. Pierre Dorion and co really set us back. A decade maybe. We could/should have been enjoying playoff hockey in Ottawa but because of Dorion we got the opposite. It’s not retrospect either. Obvious bad decisions at the moment they were made.
