I’m using it for almost a year on Infiniti Q50. It shows an extremely high values for EXT parameter, which I thought was supposed to show outdoor temperature. It shows 900F in this video so it’s not only my case. They specified the 900-2400F range on their official website, so it could be only exhaust temperature then. I googled and found out- it is an exhaust temperature. This maybe useful for some people

You could use a 10mm nut driver on those screws for the cover and you forgot to take off the oil drain cap for air flow when draining the oil. Otherwise a very good video.

Hi J! Ah rememnber, there are no ACC fuses. ACC is a function (switched power) the same techniques shown on this video to find ACC, BATT and GND can be applied to any vehicle. However I strongly recommend professional installation due to the dangers mentioned on this video if erroneously tapping a critical system of the vehicle and the dangers involved with air bags as explained in my follow up video showing the rest of the install kzfaq.info/get/bejne/q8CgbJh_x7TQnYE.html Cheers!

Hi Henry! Typically an OEM dash cam can only be replaced by the same OEM dash cam. Aftermarket dash cams use different connections and are typically not compatible with OEM connections or interfaces. Cheers!

What would you suggest for an old classic car with no usb, no cig lighter & only 5 bus fuse bays all used. Run new power direct from battery with a fuse but not have a acc or hijack the power & acc off of the cd player being I don't use it or run power direct from battery but then use the acc wire from the cd player or amp ? Well technically fuse taps can be used on older vehicles (as long as the circuit tapped can support the additional load and can provide ACC and another can provide BATT, but I recommend you consult with your installer, some do prefer to run dedicated lines). I noticed you do not have any link for Chevy cars, so I have a 2024 Blazer EV and a 2023 Bolt EV, I did installed Dashcam on them with a wire through the pilar, but if this solution existed for Chevy, that would be a nice touch...

Thank you for your video! I was wondering how you know what fuse to use in the fuse tap. I want to hardwire a dash cam but I'm worried I'll pick the wrong number fuse. If the plug in cable that came with it is 2amps, must i use a 2amp fuse or is 5amps okay? It's a thinkware f200pro for reference. Thank you!

You're welcome H! Ah the Amp rating of the fuse for the hardwire kit is determined by the hardwire kit being used (some kits have higher Amp requirements and some have lower amp draw). Great info and simple to understand. I have wired aftermarket radios, media players etc. for the last 50 years and I always use the cigarette lighter for the acc. power. I might have used the door locks on this install since it's a 20A fuse whereas the mirror fuse was only 2A.

Thank you for this video I had confidence in the camera I bought for my daughter's car and also in wiring it especially after watching the video..... however apparently the rexing r4 Plus only comes with the regular size fuse hardware kit and her Elantra has micro fuses only.... So I'm going to buy a adapter that I apparently need for it to make it work on her car. 🤔

Hi Alex, I have a ToGuard digital rear view mirror, it comes with a front camera and I also wire it to my Sony rearview camera at the ruck above the plate. I found out that the rearview camera does not work when the temperature is too high. I am not sure which part went wrong. 1. Sometimes when I move the wire, the rearview image is back on display 2. The front camera at the mirror works perfectly fine but the rearview camera is not bought with the mirror, so idk if there is a compatibility issue (everything works fine in cooler weather). Would you mind sharing some thoughts on this issue with your professional perspective? Thank you.

Hi Manuel! I usually only service items that are exposed in the process of getting to a part. So in this case as the tranny is removed, I check everything that would require me to remove the tranny, since it's out It just makes sense to me, but may also come down to cost and acceptable downtime (the more parts you replace, the more $ you will spent both on parts and labor) Cheers!

By any chance does the mirror have just like a normal mirrpr function , like without using power ? Additionally, would it be able to be poeered just using a usb-c connection from the car port?
