👏👏💪 This race hurt. This race was uncommonly cold and windy (my water froze, too!). But that’s what builds character and that’s why we do hard things. Probably didn’t go as you had planned, but excellent job gutting it out and making the finish anyways - there’s a ton of value in that and it speaks to your character. Fascinating to see what happens and why someone comparatively young and fast as a runner deliberately puts themselves into a race where speed is almost the last measure of predicted success. Great video - gave me chills (figuratively and literally!) watching it all again like it was yesterday. Kudos to your mom and massive congrats, dude…I hope this has set you on a journey of discovery since. You CAN do these things - and with experience, practice and patience added to your tool kit, you can be really good at them!! I’m excited to follow your journey…#choosetoendure

Would you say this is a good "road to trail" shoe or an all out terrain?? And is the 3 worth paying more for or get the 2s for a good price?
@sethepley2 ай бұрын
Yes this is a good road to trail because the supreme cushioning. It also felt smooth on the pavement. I would personally Pay more for the 3 but if you’re pinching Pennie’s the 2 would be a great pick.

Just bought based on your review. My hoka speedgoat 5 got fu#% up after 2 runs. And the mafate speed 4 after 54km. But the midsole is butter. So this will be good i think.

Hi, can they accommodate orthotic insoles?
@sethepley2 ай бұрын
Yes they can. If you are using a custom orthotic that is quite thick, you might want to stop by a fleet feet and try it with a size up and make sure you get the size down.

Great video. How technical was the terrain in the Mississippi race? How stable was the shoe for that? I love everything about this shoe except when I go down steep terrain up here in MA it is very technical and I've rolled my ankle a few times. I want to use it for my 25K race coming up but that's the only thing holding me back so far.
@sethepley2 ай бұрын
Not too technical mostly dirt with some roots. The shoe was amazing for that. If it’s too technical doing down hill you may want a shoe with a lower stack height.
