Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes DO NOT have a sister in any of the real canon. I hate that the writer took one of the most iconic surnames in Crime Fiction, and used it to try and legitimize her creation for naive children with no sense of History. If you want to create a separate female detective in Victorian/Edwardian London, who maybe knows Sherlock and doesn't like him because he patronizes her then that's fine, but don't make it his sister.

Sam, I was wondering at the start because of your immediate clocking of the toxicity, and Angel's fear, if you had experienced this yourself, so thank you for the clarification that it is because you have known people who have been in abusive situations. But also, the way that you have absorbed those experiences and let them inform you going forwards is not nothing. A lot of people witness abuse, but don't SEE it. You demonstrate here that you have let it change you, and you have chosen for that change to make you kinder, and I just want to say that finding people "in the wild" so to speak, who have seen abuse, whether towards themselves or other people, and chosen to double down on empathy? It gives me hope. It's easy to see these things happen to people you know, and become overwhelmed. To put up walls to protect yourself. The choice to leave the door open, to feel the hurt, and choose kindness, and seeking a deeper understanding? Thank you for that (and for sharing it with all of us!) I might be in my feels about this episode. Apologies. But I feel like it needs to be acknowledged when people who aren't survivors of abuse act with empathy, because abusive situations are very isolating, and seeing that someone outside of it can SEE the harm can make a huge difference.

Loved this movie when it came out. Most people seem to like the sequel more but I personally prefer this one.

I really appreciated how seriously you both took this episode, and the comments on how/when to step into situations like this, as sometimes interference does more damage than good, despite someone's intentions. I also fully believe someone behind the scenes has experience or knowledge of these heavy subjects because they don't really shy away from the reality of it all, or try to sugar coat it and wrap it up neatly by the end of the episode. Whatever it is it's that red stuff that he licked all over Charlie's arm and that comes out in red smoke whenever he smokes - the stuff he's blowing into Angel Dusts's face. When he licked Charlie's arm he was trying to get her under his influence as well, either because she's a different kind of demon due to her parents or the fact that she may be part angel thanks to her father she was immune to it.

Super excited to see Episode 5 reaction. As of recently we've been confirmed for Seasons 3 and 4. Though s2 is only 8 episodes as well and we're all scared it's going to have the pacing issues of this season. This has been in the works for several years and it's sad to see they're not getting the breathing room but they really make the best of it. Us old time fans just have to grab the crumbs hints in the backgrounds and give out what info isn't stated in the show yet. lol

I got to know the series through the [wonderful] song "Poison". And I really believe that [literally], through Angel, it addresses the reality of people who prostitute themselves or participate in the porn industry, often objectified, without taking into account all the circumstances of their lives and [metaphorically] the dependence, not only narcotic, but emotional of those who believe that fame, beauty, and success can somehow compensate for all the abuse and suffering they end up going through. Without a doubt, one of the best-crafted characters!

i think many people do not notice that charlie also shows in her action that she tries to fix the problem by not forcing angel back at hotel. And she could have just went to angel again and bringing him back without respecting his decision and boundary but she didn't. She realized he needed time to take a rest and think but also needed to check out if he's in a bad situation again so he asks husk just to check his situation. It's not just charlie crying like a baby and not understanding what she did wrong or just fixing her mistakes by saying sorry from my view. She's not clueless or irresponsible like many people think. (About 100 apology letters yoi asked. yes those are for angel dust)

This is one the things that made me absolutely ❤️ Angel Dust is that he "Yes, Valentino." to his demands until Charlie is mentioned and then he begs Valentino to not hurt Charlie while he is being physically abused and threatened. Charlie is one of most powerful beings in hell and I assume Angel is aware of this so I interpret that as Angel is momentarily not thinking clearly because of the situation and is just acting instinctually for a person he cares a lot about.

That's why Valentino, who is a man and was only mentioned by his nickname Val, was thought by many fans to be a woman because they didn't realize it was the moth demon texting Angel in the intro. 0:47 On the left we see the silhouettes of Adam and Lute, and on the right we see Lucifer's silhouette. 2:19 This is Travis. He was going to never appear again, but now he's Val's videographer and he makes a cameo appearance in Helluva Boss. 2:43 Sir Pentious and his Egg Boiz were also going to be a goofy one-off villain but turned into a main character in the Amazon series. Same thing for Cherri Bomb, who becomes his love interest too. 5:06 The two little winged goat demons are Razzle and Dazzle, they're Charlie's bodyguards. They were Charlie's stuffed animals when she was little and her dad Lucifer brought them to life to protect her while he's gone. 6:54 We see Vox in the center for a second. 8:16 I believe this imp on the right, next to Charlie, was Blitzø's beta design before Helluva Boss came out. They weren't shown here, but there were also glimpses of Carmilla Carmine, Rosie, Mimzy, Velvette, and Valentino. Cherri was always supposed to be Australian but didn't have her accent until the Amazon series when she changed voice actresses like everyone else.

16:47 Angel sold his soul bc he had nothing when he came to Hell. Nowhere to live, no money, nada. He had been closeted gay in a Mafia family in the 1940s. Val likely found him on the streets and charmed him. In "Poison," you can see that Angel was initially in love with Val. It was afterwards that Val convinced Angel to sign his soul over to him, likely so Angel could have a place to live and a job, both in the studio. And then things turned horrible for Angel. He had NOWHERE and NO ONE to turn to for years, until few weeks ago in the series when Charlie met him and offered him a room at the Hotel.

Charlie must remain stupid until she breaks, until she loses everyone, friends, Lucifer. We know what act 3 lovepoint means. Of course, it will be easy for the hero at the beginning, but then the hero will pay for his mistakes. This arc is more between Angel and Husk

16:42 Small detail, but it matters. Angel's used to being grabbed and forced to move/go anywhere. Instead, Husk OFFERS him his hand and Angel can choose to take it or not. During this number, Husk only takes Angel's hands if Angel reaches out or accepts Husk's hands.

God, Poison is such a bop but the lyrics are SO hard to listen to. 😢 I love Husk’s approach to helping Angel. If someone is at a point that low, it’s not much use trying to remind them that things will get better or that they actually have it pretty good, that’s just going to make things worse. Instead, validate their feelings and let them know they have you to lean on, and bonus points if you can sympathise in some way.
