I am on a student visa and first time q magllodge ng tax return. Need q ba iupdate yun form na un sa employer ko?(the form that was previously submitted as non resident)

This is what I was told by my employer’s accountant : I just noticed that you are on a VISA This means from a tax perspective you are not an Australian resident and so your taxes will be treated differently. There is no tax free threshold for you as you are deemed an Australian holiday maker. As such you are not able to claim the Withholding declaration to claim you zone tax offset.

Yes need mo i-update to Australian resident for Tax purposes. Ipakita mo to sa accountant ng company www.ato.gov.au/individuals-and-families/coming-to-australia-or-going-overseas/your-tax-residency/australian-resident-for-tax-purposes jusko ako na-stress sa email nya. Bakit hindi nya alam yung apat na statutory tests to determine kung resident or non-resident. Hindi porket naka-visa eh deemed as holiday maker. 🤦♀️ bali kapag nag-lodge ka ng tax return mo this year make sure to tick Australian resident for tax purposes ka or better consult sa tax accountant.

Hi kindly check po sa iyong tax accountant. You need to meet the criteria and I am not sure if eligible ka kasi it doesn’t make sense na nagbayad ka ng tuition to be here tas i-claim mo tuition mo as self-education expense sa iyong ITR.

The answer is no sa case ko when I was studying. Yung first yr ko libre pa ang living expenses ko pero kulang pa din for my tuition.

May question sa tax return about medicare levy exemption. Dapat naka full exemption ka for 366 days tas sa medicare levy surcharge dapat nakalagay not liable for medicare levy surcharge.

Hello po, I've been watching your videos recently po. I'm currently processing nursing diploma in Australia. Tanong po sana ako since wala pong post grad work visa ang diploma ano po kaya pwedeng gawin. Plano ko po sana once I graduate nursing diploma I'll work as enrolled nurse to fund my schooling po gusto ko po sana mag proceed ng BS nursing but since walang post grad work visa yung diploma parang mahihirapan po yata ako. Hello nacheck mo if eligible ka sa temporary graduate visa graduate work stream? Magkaiba kasi ang stream ng VET course sa higher ed course. Also take note na once ka lang pwede magapply ng graduate visa so best is to use it sa magbibigay sa iyo ng chance to stay longer.

Limit is 10k aud cash papasok ng Australia. May mga schools na downpayment lang need bayaran bago i-release ang COE pero may mga iba na required talaga to pay the full term before they release your COE.

Wala namang age limit ang student visa pero unfortunately may mga PR visa na hanggat 45 yrs old lang at the same time may strategy na planong below 35 yrs na lang ang allowed mag-apply ng temporary graduate visa.

Last part, your feelings are valid. Nakakaloko naman talaga sa mga genuine students yung age restriction sa TGV. Nakakalungkot din na nadamay ung mga genuine students sa mga ganitong unwanted changes ng Immigration. 😢 I agree with you as well na matinding dasal ang kailangan. Really hoping na hindi matuloy yung 35y.o. age restriction. 🙏 Thank you for sharing this vlog!

Hi pwede naman po kayo mag-aral ng course na malayo sa education background or work experience but understand na mas mataas ang risk kasi need mo i-justify kung genuine ka and need mo to explain how the course you will take will help you in the future. Correct need mo tapusin ang alam ko ay unang term sa school mo. Bawal na ang concurrent study. Wala pong age limit ang student ang plano po na lagyan ng age limit is anv graduate visa.
