I'll second one of the comments below for a 223 trainer/varmint gun, which happens to apply to me. Being a young adult with a new family 33 years ago, all I was able to afford was a used Savage, a cheap Simmons scope, and the most basic of reloading gear... but damn, I still got that thing to shoot. It's finally time to replace the old girl, and I still love shooting 223, so I want to stick with that as a replacement... I'd love to see what you'd do.

Very obviously biased review towards 1 product, atleast they were pretty open around that being their intent. My biggest issue is why do people keep reviewing the sig 10k. We all know the issues it has with coatings, you admitted you knew there is a replacement on the way. Why not use the 6k which has significantly better glass and no one seems to review and compare to these products.

The #1 problem with the video, in hindsight, is not having gotten an early 10k Gen 2. When we shot the video and released it, we knew it was coming but had NO clue on timing. Then, days later, they push out some reviews. We aren’t going to go back and re-do because that’s not how KZfaq works, but if we’d have known they were so close we would have kicked and screamed a little to make sure we had one.

What kinda torque do scopes see under recoil on bigger calibers? Fyi your scope mount is the nicest to date lve installed. Only con i found is it was hard to get even gaps between the ring caps on both sides since the tolerance is so tight.

Some people just shouldn’t be posting videos. After the adapter is on, threat the brake on until it wants to tighten. Level the brake using the line on the front. Once level, tap the brake with your hand, causing it to lock on to the cone shaped adapter. Now tighten the threads with your hand until tight. To remove, loosen the threads and again, tap the brake until it pops loose.

Hopefully they will hold up. I have sent my K16i and K318i for minor repairs, and I don’t exactly run them hard. I am a huge fan of the new S&B 6-36. FOV may be smaller but the glass is very clear.

I destroyed a Kahles with only 40 rds..got in touch with them, they gave me a "IF we deem it defective, we will fix it". Packed it up, called the store I bought it from, explained the issue (a bunch of crap inside the glass and didn't hold zero or dialed properly) and they let me exchange it for a Razor Gen 2 and have been satisfied with it. I use Tangent Thetas and ATACRs now which have not let me down. I wouldn't pay $500 for ANY Kahles and I gave them a piece of my mind at Shot Show a couple years ago. Funny how in person things are different. They wanted all my info and wanted to see if I would give them a second chance. I told them that I didn't have to, the first time told me all I needed to know about them as a company. I now recommend NF and Tangent. Yes, Tangent's are more expensive, but when you're jumping to this price range, what is $1500 more? It was worth it to me.

@@dreauxmire Garbage when I tried to use them a couple years ago and I still have the emails between us. At the time I had to send it to Austria as well..screw that. I had an issue with a Minox ZP5 and they responded quickly, no questions asked and sent a pre paid shipping label, took 3 months to get it back, but it was fixed. It was also my fault. Gorilla hands, if I can't break it, no one can. The Kahles was not my fault, it got eaten up by a Scar17 with a good mount. I used the Minox, Razor and NF on that same Scar17 and now on a Scar20 and no issues with those optics. Stay away from Kahles..might be good on the pretty, little PRS cartidges, but not on magnums or on heavy forward slamming bolts.

@@prone_wolf8871 Kahles has the best parallax system of any scope IMO, great FOV....it has it's up sides (decent glass, OK reticles...nothing spectacular) this scope should be about $1,200 less.

Nice, beam divergence is worse than the Terrapin X by 50% and 25% for the 8 and 10~12 power respectively. I guess something had to give, that HUD is sexy as hell tho and I like that it's 18650. There's no mention of maximum range in the table tho, is it still 3000 meters?
