Imagine saying this about the person who composed tomorrow, pathway, hanazeve caradinha, VOH, Juroimoh mutation, San-ken, transcendence and hanezeve, the rumble of the scientific triumph, Prushkas sequence, Lotus, God Suite I II III and IV and Shinzu 😭 (Kevin is the only composer who has made me listen to their music without watching any other of the shows the songs are from (apart from made in abyss), I think that speaks volumes)

Listen to the Kara no Kyoukai soundtrack. It is made to accompany a story, and to that end, I think it stands head and shoulders above most of any you would put along side it. Maybe as a piece of music isolated from it's intended purpose, you would think less of it, and I think that makes a modicum of sense. But do not forget that it was tailor made for a specific context, and that removing it from that context, while can still be enjoyed and valuable, is still not how it was intended to be consumed.

Can you make a video about Jpop group that is maybe using odd time signatures (non-48, non-46, non-Kawaii) (example: Juice=Juice or °C-ute) I’d been into J-Pop groups for several days now after quitting from K-pop, and I feel different about the rhythm of those beautiful songs. And I feel that my music routine becomes way better when switching to J-Pop

My favourite version of the ed isn’t even the ai and sarasa version, which is also very good, but the ayako and other purple girl version. Their voices are just so pretty!

Have you made an analysis or transcription for the High Score Girl opening? Same composer, there are similar things that I found out but my knowledge is quite to far to explain it haha would be great to have someone who knows how to. Greetings! Nice video BTW +1sub

I watched Blue to Red. At first I didn’t know there were two movies, so The blue movie left me confused, but when I found out there’s two movies, I was oh makes sense. After I watched Red after, I don’t regret watching Blue to Red. I like this narrative better. It is actually kore sad and seems like Kayomi and Shiori transferrerd their consciousness(souls) to a world they never met, but their souls finally met when their physical counterparts in that world meet when they were old. It made it seem like those two souls finally rest in peace, and marry in heaven. It is a beautiful narrative, and I would rather love that than other narrative of them moving to ANOTHER world they do marry.

oh crap. This video was so well made and fun to watch, I didn't even realize the small amount of views and comments for a video this good. I have been playing Princess Connect Re:Dive for about one and a half years and still am enjoying the heck out of it. The music really is on another level and the story + side stories are so fun to go through. This is the only story that in combination with it's music has actually brought me to tears and I am probably going to continue following this game until the end. Thanks for your video

I died laughing at this (I'm a HUGE fan of the boys; I had the great fortune of meeting Joey last year). I don't think I'll ever see Dr Jelly the same way again (and I'm NOT sure how I feel about that 😂 ) Thank you!

I would love to hear your opinions on Frieren's score

Love how they kept Frieren out of last year's voting since it would have won bigger than Oppenheimer at the Oscars, and they figure enough people will have forgotten by the end of this year that CR's favorite battle shonen garbage shows stand a chance.

Love this breakdown homie, especially like your solution at 4:13 with the little info box off to the side. Giving non-industry consumers such sway really is so silly. Keep up the incredible work 🐐🤍

It baffles me how Evan Call hasn't won anything yet. Hopefully, Frieren will give him the recognition he deserves. This was the show where the musical themes really shined.

Edgerunners had a great soundtrack for it. Akira Yamaoka is a pretty interesting pick from his video game work, mainly for Silent Hill. Probably the most memorable tracks though were the insert tracks they used from the radio stations in the Cyberpunk game and some select tracks from Dawid Podsiadlo and other artists. Definitely recommend checking it out for that. I don't really feel like the Oscars are all that great either, you can look up a lot of the judges comments and a good number of them are pretty ignorant about what they're voting on. But I also don't watch much Western TV / Movies anymore outside of a select few, so its whatever. But don't worry. Evan Call is going to win 2024's, I feel like that's already set in stone. Unless they don't have the category and snub him again. At least now that Attack on Titan is finished we might get something else, now just for Demon slayer to end!

How hard can it be to find some music nerds, that like Anime, and ask them to nominate the shows
@moneygambler2327
@moneygambler2327 2 ай бұрын
Judges should pick nominations for each category and then let fans vote after that. Not to let 2 popular shows win all the categories. But if judges were the one to pick who wins i would be against it. On IMDb site they used to have something call top 1000 voters. To see how people who are experienced and watched most shows actually voted. Turned out they gave popular high rated shows even higher rating on average.

Makes sense. Most people don't watch every show, so show with the most viewers win the most rewards
@GengaJupite
@GengaJupite 2 ай бұрын
Part of the problem is that that's already how they're doing it. What they need for it to work is more refined curation in the nominating process that allows judges to only nominate categories they choose so that they can refrain from doing categories they don't feel strongly about.

Like many people, I discovered Iwasaki's music for the first time in "Rurouni Kenshin" OVA. I was amazed at how well he composes classical-style music; his string arrangements are always beautiful, and the melodic lines are so lyrical. It's almost unbelievable how skilled he is at writing in other styles and even incorporating those into unconventional fusions. I agree that his musical choices are very risky and original in the video. The issue I encounter is that most of his soundtrack works are for anime that I'm not interested in at all, so when I listen to his more experimental pieces, it's difficult to understand, from a purely musical perspective, why he's blending those genres in such peculiar ways! For those who prefer his more "classical" side, I recommend listening to "Katanagatari" (the track "Togame" is another beautiful piece showcasing Iwasaki's characteristic style). In "Katanagatari," he also explores fusions and risky mixes, but not that crazy. Additionally, "Ima, soko no iru boku" ost. Fortunately, some of his soundtracks are now available on Spotify.

coming back to this video and opening after years, since first hearing of yoshimasa terui. i am now a huge fan of what once was haisuinonasa and sora tob sakana, am very much into siraph now along with terui's classical compositional work for series like jjk and such. but now thinking back on kyoumen no nami, had i prior knowledge of yoshimasa terui, it should've been absurdly evident that he was behind that opening. he's a musical genuis and i wish more people out there would dive into his crafts the way you had done with this video.
