How come Jim Keltner never got full Wilbury status, with a cool nickname, like the rest of the band? I always thought he was shafted there.

What a great drummer Winston is.

I’m not sure if it was John Fogerty or John Mellencamp, but one of them ran into Bob while out on tour, and Bob’s whole band, Winston included, were in the room right in earshot and whichever John it was said “I love your band Bob, but you oughta get rid of that drummer”. Winston relayed this in an interview I saw a couple of years ago.

People respond to what he creates. People are moved by the recordings and by the live performances. It’s okay if you are not. There are plenty of musical artists that you might enjoy.

I learned many years ago from listening to the live albums Live at the Isle of White ‘Hard Rain’ and ‘Before the Flood’ BD likes to play his songs differently, to the point of almost unrecognizable, when playing them live. I’ve always been fascinated by that.
