Fantastic, very clean picking 🎸

All great pickers ! ! ! I just never quite understood why that fully 95% of country players prefer the Tele. I saw some in this clip using Strats, and the sound, to me, was virtually indistinguishable Just saying.

That telle that Skaggs was playing had a phenomenal tone to it. These old pickers were something else man. How many tens of thousands of hours of practice do you reckon it takes to pick like some of these dudes.

Rory Hoffman - OMG. That's some of the cleanest fast picking I've ever heard. I wonder if that technique makes it easier or harder. I need to look into him more.

I think Cambell played better guitar, but only Cambell. But roy was amazing on multiple stringed instruments. So, I agree with you about him being king.

Hate Tony's habits got the better of him, he was the last of the best, without a doubt. Son, he could play. Met him a couple times at festivals, nice man, phenomenal player, got to where he couldn't sing anymore, because of certain substances, but always a Bluegrass guide and a gentleman. RIP. Godspeed.

Definitely needs to be a Volume 3. Instead, I’ll name some names. First and foremost, Leon Rhodes, Clint Strong, Jon Conley, Keith Sewell, Joe Manuel, Barry Bales, Dino Strunk, Randall George, Shane Sutton, Bob Williams, Dan Agee, Bobby Blackburn, Matt Hanshaw, Grant Moody, etc. Some of these guys I’ve worked with in Nashville, and some from Branson MO. I know I’m missing some, but the ones I’ve mentioned, I would put against any on Volume one, and Volume two.
