Loved the movie back then but this song is bad. I cant even tell its J.Geils. The same band that did Centerfold. I always had the tune in my head as Fright night! Stick a stake right through his heart! Fright night!

Fun fact: this song was written by Joe Lamont, who also wrote and performed "Flesh to Flesh" (from The Return of the Living Dead part 2)

Such an awesome song. Fright Night has to be the coolest film ever. So many happy memories of the 80s and watching horror from that time. So much fun and this song takes me back to that time. 🥰🥰🥰….do we even need to mention how handsome Chris Sarandon was was Jerry Dandgridge. I think it goes without saying. 😁😉👌🏻

I came to the movie “Fright Night” by way of the J Geils Band who sang the title song “Fright Night.” Seth Justman, keyboards, sings lead on “Fright Night.” It’s the first song this ever happened in their 20 year career as former lead vocalist, Peter Wolf, had just left the band prior to “Fright.” Seth did fine but Peter had slightly stronger vocals which may have helped the song. Also, I was curious why the movie people did not have Seth write the title song to “Fright”. This seems odd since Seth had just written “Centerfold” a 1982 number 1 smash single for weeks! Go figure! Anyway, “Fright Night” is also a good soundtrack album with many 80’s stars singing on it. It can still be found on EBay and other online locales. It’s worth buying. Ian Hunter’s song on the “Fright Night” is great.
