I discovered your KZfaq channel when I was trying to find info on a broken tibula and fibular and I came across your content , I just got out of surgery 3 days ago and I’m home now and I also have a rod in my right leg ( same as you) and your my inspiration to get mentally motivated for this long road ahead of me. I just wanted to say thanks cuz before I found your content I was in a real sad place. I got you too look up too, as well as David Goggins 💯 #StayHard

im still able to ride at the skatepark and jump off small ledges and kinda "run" ( for like 100ft then stop) but its pretty dull aching pain, while not as bad as before its still a kinda annoying pain just curious if you went through the same problem.

that's normal I think, as long as you drink as much water as possible and try to put ice on the swollen parts then the blood vessels and veins should recover allowing you to gain some more sensitivity.

Yes i agree with these tips. I think you should moveing broken leg as much as possible and put some weight on it progressively. It's help as you mention with bood flow and stimulate, forces your body to grow (it's like muscle). "Use it or lose it"

I had the same injury snowboarding. Hit a cornered wooden post on a big sign going like 100k lmao. Full shatter, 36 pieces I think. Im 5 months out with the exact same operation with the same cut point for the rod. I have a minor persisting knee pain, wondering if you had knee pain at any point during your recovery? Also how are you doing now?
@evadeproductions4255
@evadeproductions4255 Жыл бұрын
Hey Marko, I had some knee swelling after the recovery around the 5 month point. Riding my bike and icing it helped, although I didn't have to ice it very much. Strengthening the leg muscles with the bike or lifting would definitely help with the knee pain. also try to relive tension from being sedentary for so long by doing massage or foam roller and stretching on the whole leg.

Hey man just wanted to say that after a fracture bone heals usually within a month so the pain u were experiencing were not from weak bones but from weak muscles around the joints which puts more strain on ur joints
@evadeproductions4255
@evadeproductions4255 2 жыл бұрын
I appreciate you trying to add, but I can ensure you that my bone was nowhere near fully mended at 6 weeks. I didn’t get any old fracture, I was hit by a car at a high speed resulting in multiple fracture sites as well as a compound fracture. Not to mention the trauma of surgery. Think about it, more bone needing to be replaced takes longer to heal. And I know from x-rays
