Thank you for this! I haven't forgotten how effective ammonia is since I messed up and mixed ammonia and bleach when I was trying to deep clean my house for my premarital dinner.😂🤣 My lungs were burning and i haven't purchased ammonia since 1994. I will try this on my new oven.

No please don't! She didn't say it, but there was text on the screen. Turn the oven off before you add the ammonia to it.

If you mix baking soda and vinegar you just get water! Google it. The only thing you get is bubbles which don’t do much.

Nobody ever shows how to clean the broiler when you have a heating element that’s not removable. My broiler makes my whole oven smoke. I can’t get between and above the heating elements properly.

I wish the focus was more on the laptop. She skipped to another page to begin with that did not show up on my computer. I wish this was more specific on the How To Set Up from the begining.

Thanks Jessie! This worked really well for my super dirty oven, probably about 5 years since I deep cleaned it. I mostly had the baked-on grease on the sides from roast chicken, not many spills, but the ammonia really loosened it and I was able to get it crab with just a scrubby sponge in about 3 hours. I think I'll do it periodically maybe every 6 months or so to keep on top of it.

5 years since you've deep cleaned your oven? I do it every 2 weeks. Wow. How can you eat from there? I'm sure there are roaches sharing the meal with you. Ew. Gross

Getting ready to clean the OVEN.😬. First and Always Use GLOVES 😄 I spray the inside with Ammonia, apply cling wrap. Sometimes, I’ll cover with paper towel spray again then the cling wrap. Also I’ll use a small ceramic dish for the ammonia & sit it on the bottom of oven. Following day, I’ll first clean the racks. To clean the inside, I’ll take the door off* and cover opening with a old towel. *the bottom of the door has openings so that way you can clean between the glass. I find that using a Brillo pad helps a lot. Taking the Door off is less of a Back Breaker. Have Fun 🤬 oven !

Putting the drill in reverse is a great tip. Also, use eye protection, because the more powerful drills can send liquid flying in unpredictable directions.

Excellent job on this video with a lot of very useful information! I'm definitely going to do this. However, I would recommend using gloves when cleaning with the ammonia/soap solution, and to turn on the exhaust fan and open windows while doing so if it's not too cold outside. Edited 04.22.23: Well, I tried this twice (thought I did something wrong the first time) and it didn't work for me. Perhaps the crud has been baked on too long. I'm now checking out some different oven cleaning options.

Great video! I had done oven racks and gas burner plates/grates in a garbage bag with ammonia before with GREAT success! I wanted to see if I could do INSIDE my oven the same way - found your video and I’m looking forward to trying this the next warm-ish day (keeping windows open).
