After watching this video, I don’t understand how he’s not making no money. I can make easily $1000 a day I started up my whole company under five grand and I don’t know who told him that it’s illegal to sleep in your truck, but that’s not true I sleep in mine all the time DOT does not give a shit so all that hotel money is a waste
@covenantdispatchllc76449 күн бұрын
At the time of making this video I had associate truckers who were ticketed for sleeping in their cab with no sleeper. If you can add better quality information, create a KZfaq channel and share it 👍🏽

@@covenantdispatchllc7644 I’m in CT. It’s not possible to run local up here just with DAT/TruckStop loads. If you have contacts to keep a 26’ box truck running daily locally in CT/MA and some NJ/NY, let’s talk. Email? Phone?

Francisco thank you for the video. You did a fine job presenting a descriptive clarity how a dispatcher is enumerated by the carrier. Also dispatchers are employees of the carrier and paid hourly or salary and or commission with the combination. I'm currently in the process of developing my TMS, Bizlytics. If you're intrigued or interested at all and hearing about it please get back to me

Thank you so much for the information. How do the dispatchers come up with % they receive from the Gross?
@ZaxyPenaDelgadoАй бұрын
I just have to say i just graduated with the certificate and I came here to understand it alot better and you was able to mediately explain this perfectly.... I literally got it perfectly and also wrote all that you just did and its pretty clear and easy!!

Ok, let me try this again since it appears my earlier comment was deleted. Just so I'm understanding this correctly, you're using brokers to book these loads for owner-ops, correct? Don't brokers take about 15% off the top? You being the dispatcher are taking 5%-8% of the load gross. For simple math that's 20% of the load rate. So the owner-operator gets 80% of that load rate, does all the work getting a load from point A to point B, all the costs & expenses come out of that 80% gross, and they're good with that? I find that hard to believe with what the costs are to operate a big rig today with fuel, insurance, trk payments, tolls, + + +. Please enlighten me. What am I misunderstanding?

I'm watching in 2024 and wanted to say Thank You for the good information and straightforward video! I am a company driver and looking to start my own trucking company one day! I am doing my research / homework right now trying to figure out what is involved and if I can make a living doing it!
@clawJAMMER0317Ай бұрын
Just so I understand, you being the freight dispatcher for your owner-op and you're surfing the broker load boards to book a load for your driver. The broker is selling you the load and taking his 15% or whatever commission and your taking your 5%+ from that load for your driver. So in essence, after you and the broker take your combined 20% +/- cut the trucker is actually getting 80% of that freight rate then and is really doing all the work & all the expenses getting the load from point A to point B? Does that sound about right, or am I missing anything? Owner ops are ok with that set up? I'm not sure I would be if I was an owner-operator knowing that and I was eating all the ridiculous costs of running that rig.
