I agree with much of what you're saying here. Especially about the sticky fingers and land mines. I even tried to put a little bit of baby powder in my pocket. Using the box cars on top and the hard 10 facing me. I had a 20-minute roll at the Horseshoe 30 years ago. There was a smooth area above the gate on the back wall. The table was not very long. I was shooting from the opposite end of the table. This particular dice set I used to produce field numbers. My throwing style was different than most and a little rough on my shoulder. Using 2 fingers on the top front of the dice and my thumb in the middle of the rear. I put a small split between the dice. I would use what I call an overhand throw meaning, I would try to get the dice rolling forward as they left my fingers. Object was to get the dice to separate on landing so as not to interfere with each other. This dice set will produce a large number of sevens. But because of my throwing style, they were avoided or only came up during the come out. This part was luck.

Meh #8 is silly... I have played in vegas casinos where 80% of the table is smoking... so imho #8 is more of a "know your audience" type thing. Hmmm #12 is right and wrong... 95% of the dealers I have played with prefer a passline bet that has a decent shot at winning rather than a hard 10 or yo or some nonsense trash bet in the middle of the table. If the dealer is good and I'm tipping during the gameplay I normally just toss down a few chips, say "Dealer's Choice" and let them pick whatever they want.

I find its easier and more fun to bet on dont throw like a drunkin arangatan. So far ive hit a few people and nuked the dealers chips once but i still do good. The last time i rolled a ton of feild numbers so the other players ignored how i was betting.

Distractions will kill you. Thirty years ago I was in Atlantic City rolling the dice after a poker tournament. Two in the morning and I am on a roll. Started with $135 across and soon enough I had $2700 across with some pretty good presses. Now while I am about to roll a little old lady comes up to our table (we have three people at the table, so the dice move quickly) and throws $100 bill on the table. The stick stops me from rolling and gives her $100 in chips. She doesn't bet but she takes the chips and walks away from the table. I look at the dealers and they just shrug their shoulders. I call all my bets off roll the obligatory seven and take all my chips (about $8500 as I started with $300) to the cashier. Anyone want to guess if I tipped? Distractions are a killer, and the dealers are not always looking out for you as a shooter. Best advice is to be observant of what is going on at the table.

@@jakelavaclaw2759 My only advice is to press up on a hot table. Seems obvious to me now, but years ago on a trip to Tunica with my wife, I played craps for the first time ever. Got lucky and stood next to a friendly guy that was willing to share some knowledge. Bought in but didn't do well at that table. Later I bought in at what would be the hottest table I have ever seen and haven't seen since. Beginners luck might just be real. lol. Don't remember how long I was there, but I took my $100 buy-in up to about $1200. If I had known then what I know now, I could've walked away with at least 5k or more because I wasn't pressing or betting very high. It's a fun game and you can win big, but you have to play smart and know the table. Sometimes I just break even, and that's a win in my book.

You didn't tip because you're an asshole. Not because the dealers are "against you." They work for tips. Sometimes people buy in the middle of a roll. If you perceive that as the dealers' fault, you're just an idiot.

Just hit the ALL last week at the Borgata in AC. I had 2 good long rolls under my belt and my craps buddy put $25-$25-$25 up. I forgot to bet it. :( His play is to hedge and lay against whatever number, if there is 1 left on the small or tall. In this case, he hedged and laid the 4 and I hit it, and he laid the 10 for like $1200 and I hit it, but he still ended up walking out with over $2K up after getting even and the hedges. It was a nice night. This is my favorite prop bet.

Nah, some dice rollers (crazy good experts) can manipulate the odds. They can't control what number comes up obviously, but they can roll in ways that changes the odds. For instance throwing a single die they can change the odds of rolling a 6 from 16.67% to like 40%. Nothing a magical, but crazy important in the world of odds. However, no, you won't see a dapper fellow tossing dice from across the room and rolling consistent numbers. It's more a like a nudge.

You cannot control the random bounce after they hit the table and back wall. Period. The best rolls I’ve ever been part or watched have been people they just picked them up and threw them. If I had a dollar for every time someone set the Dice on something specific thing for a minute and a half and then 7d out I’d be rich.
@5DollarYo8 ай бұрын
The concept is to make as little contact with the wall as possible. Throw the dice on axis, and the the table absorb the energy. The goal is the decrease the chance of 7s. Maybe u aren't capable. And many people set the dice that don't know what they're doing. That doesn't mean that there aren't people skilled at it.

As someone who is (what I consider to be) a Dice Influencer in training, I can say that while it can be improbable, it isn't at all impossible. I've learned the basics of dice control from Golden Touch, and have had some minor success with consistent rolls. Now it doesn't happen all the time as I have had times where either a point-seven out or 4 rolls before a seven was rolled, but there have been rolls where I've held the dice for 20, 30, 40 minutes making several passes. I can also say that when I spot a mistake, particularly in the throw, that I can usually tell when I might seven-out (like if I hit the wall spikes first before the felt), and usually it does. It may be difficult to learn, but people who put in the effort to practice, practice, practice can see results. But even then it doesn't make it a guarantee.

@@danielbachar5864just because u can't, didn't mean others can't. I can't throw a 90mph fast ball. Again, it's not about throwing whatever number u want. It's reducing the number of 7s.

Just learn your six "Master sets" and the inside axis numbers. The inline 6 set ( shown in photo) gives the shooter four ways for the seven 1/6-6/1/-2/5-5/2 which is 25% ( 4/16 combinations) There are other sets that only give you two ways for the seven and that is only 12.5% for the seven. ( 2/16 combinations) Good luck at the tables. 🧐
