I got the Opus its dope was for sure waiting cor the XZ2 that never came then got intel from a reliable source at Pioneer stating it wasnt coming. The sound quality is better then my XZ cdj2's for sure

I just bought that controller and I am really impressed. Build quality is superior to all controllers in this price range that I've come across. It is easy to use, seamlessly connects to ipad/mac. I'm very hyped.

Super over priced, nothing more but less then prime go released 4 years ago, no music streaming except their cloud, about me they are just using people ignorance and lazy to change their equipment and move to denon and engine dj that is anyway few years upfront pioneer or alphatheta how they are calling them recently, another stupid thing producing just confusion… I don’t understand what was in denon managers brain when they let pioneer to take over and become the industry standard when back in 92 was denon to release the first dj equipment for dj the DN2000F the first cd player for dj… to not talk about pioneer cdj-500 that was actually impossible to use in clubs as was jumping like crazy at any little kick! 😂

I wish all music tech reviews were as thoughtful and hands-on as this one. There is something very appealing about this mixer. I just wish it had an audio interface - I’ve got too used to not having to deal a big mess of wires! The Xone 96 seems as close to the best of both worlds that we can realistically hope for.

This Controller is nothing more than a downgrade from the Numark NS7iii .... For those of you that dont know Rane ,Akia , Numark are the same folks...here is proof............Numark v7 was replaced by Rane 12........................... There is only 3 things this controller has that the NS7iii doesn't have .... 1. Split channel for the stems 2. Digital screen for the effects 3. dual USB ports ................... Now lets talk about The Beast That Numark created That was far before it's time .. . ...... NS7iii has a lot of things Rane ,Pioneer , and of controller cant do here are just 3 ........1. has 5 dedicated cue buttons for deck A&B (In which I can still control my stems ,loops ,samples and cues at the same time) ..2. I can use all 6 different effect on one channel........ 3.knob touch Effects and Kills ............... I got 43 years in this DJ game ........... New isn't always good ......... This is a Great Controller But it's not the best ..............

Loved the review but a compressor does not make softer parts louder, it makes louder parts softer but if you push the gain afterwards to get the loud part back to normal level you dragg the soft part along.

Cool toy but it’s useless without a laptop. Rane needs to make one that DOES NOT require a laptop to use. Why don’t they make an actual all in one unit ?

You're the most underrated DJ gear reviewer on KZfaq. You manage to tell us more about the gear and it's unique functions while keeping my interest better than any other channel. The Performer isn't for me, mainly because I'm not into Serato, but I like keeping aware of gear and this is my go to now.

Would you please recommend the best for my live stream radio show with talk over button effect so far the only one I’ve been able to find is the rane four if I can’t find anything else with that voiceover affect its very important, I have a deep voice and I like for my voice to cut through the music that voiceover button is a must on a DJ controller please help any recommendations thank you so much. USB-C is the worse for DJ utilities as far as connecting FROM the unit to anything (ask me how I know). Rane must’ve gotten that memo lol. Perhaps in the future I’d hope they could add the C to read a drive or even a regular usb to read a drive and not need a laptop 🤷🏽‍♂️

I don't see much difference than my NS7 2. Other than stems and vocal drop outs. I'll wait til the next upgrade. I still see my NS7 2 in that controller.Just My opinion.
