I still don't unterstand why every rider has problems with cables. Di2 is a really nice system. You do the cable management once, charge it every 1000 km, and that's it. 1 hidden battery instead of 4-5 axs batteries.

Hey Evan... I have the Spectral 125 CF7, since I've had it I have a bit of a rattling noise coming like from the front of the bike. Cockpit, fork? I don't know. I swapped out the stem and bars and it seemed to reduce the noise. But now I think I'm tracking the noise to the internal cables bumping against the frame when riding? Is there any feedback or recommendations you might have? Thanks!
@EvansMTBSaga6 сағат бұрын
Well the Acros headset has a plastic race that is pretty much pointless. I had a rattle too and replaced the headset and it went away. Not sure if the carbon frame uses the same crap headset though
@rmbtd5 сағат бұрын
@@EvansMTBSaga yeah the headset was crap lol... I guess I just have to keep adjusting the spacers to see if I can really nail it down. Thanks again! 🙏

I9 at least admitted the issue and took steps to fix it. People are also now able to buy parts and fix their hubs. Compare that to the decade long issue that shimano had with their faulty cranks. It's up to you to choose which companies you support, but expecting a company to get every product perfect is not realistic. From the comments it seems that you want to avoid them because they didn't offer a replacement part for free even though it is a design fault. That's fair but you didn't make that point clear in the video which is probably why many people are commenting on it. It's still awesome to see a youtuber criticise a brand. Helps to hold them accountable.

What's the subscription cost like? People will be side-by-siding downhill runs with the subscription on and off. There'll e a controversy where a big team gets to ride with the premium subscription options and mysteriously another team will have their credit card declined for renewal, mid race so their premium downhill options are not available.

Thanks for the review of the Berd Spoke wheels. I have ordered my second pair. The first were made with my Hadley hubs and new RaceFace ARC 35 rear and 40 front rims(yes really wide) I was amazed how completely different they rode. Now my second pair will be with the ONYX Vesper hook flange hubs. I can’t imagine trying to build them like you did. Anyway, my wheels are definitely not $3K because I went with DT Swiss XM481 rims. Personally I think the Swiss rims are better than many other i30 carbon rims and only a few grams more weight per rim and less weight than some carbon rims

I have a rocky mountain instinct. My 1st full suspension. The only thing i did was upgrade the rear suspension to a rock shox super deluxe ultimate. Now, I have my eye on a Poseidon Norton. Ill upgrade the forks to Marzocchis. Both for two different syles of riding i do. Plus, I'm restomodding a 97 Mongoose to ride around the neighborhood. All these local Chads are like "A Mongoose?!" Trust me, that (legit non-Walmart) Mongoose has some serious miles on it and a storied history as its been ridden in Waco, Belton, Austin, San Antonio, and Bandera Texas. I just tell them if they have such a problem with it then they can go buy me the bike of their choosing (like a $4k santa cruz or something). That usually shuts them up. Point is, you do you, and dont let those critics talk smack about your bikes , your gear, or your helmet. Theyre just insecure. Oh and im an 80s kid so helmets are optional. Ha ha. Lets see which snow flake get triggered.

I just bought a 2018 S Works Epic frame for 700 bucks. Needs a shock thru bolt, new water bottle rivets, and a new bottom bracket and probably a shock service, but I am looking at a 600 carbon enve wheelset, boost, DT 240 hubs, a 2020 Rockshox Sid Ultimate for 350, carbon enve bars for 120, and an X01 rear derailleur for 110, cassette for 124, and a shifter for 44. Used Pirelli scorpion tires at 35 each, with Sram G2 brakes. I've always wanted a Fox Factory dropper, and have found a deal on one for 190 without the lever, so I will get a Wolftooth light action lever. A Selle Italia Boost Super flow saddle is comfortable and helps soften the bumps on my anus, for 38 bucks. Raceface Next R carbon cranks and a Wheels Manufacturing bottom bracket for 180 and 45 each will round out the build.

So.... i run shimano brakes on almost all my bikes and one shigura system, i never had problems with modulation, their not perfect but do not blame the brake if you dont know how to use it. Yes i also had some srams, their are more easy to learn to modulate but they fail, they fade and work on them is more expensive em dificult. At least with shimano you dont need a 300 plus dollar brake to have a good brake, a basic 50dollar mt200 kit works great and last more than your bike!
