Past A4 you're using your "mix" but B1 to A4 in chest is still a pretty good range. Most people's range is 2-2 1/2 octaves and you're close to 3.

What a long versatille video, as usual!!! Lots of singers, in which I had no awareness of, whose demonstrate some good vocals right there! It´s also a great bassy video to really enjoy, even though I do have a lot of suspicious about the super low note from Brady Schoch 20:22. I don´t wanna to offend anyone and break your own work for videos and singing, but how does this note chesty, if it sounds so bright and robotic? I am more towards for that note being a subharmonic, though. I don´t think it´s really pure chest, because if it would have been chest voice, it would have envolved the whole lenght of your vocal cords, to be able to produce a VERY low note with any ressonance, darkness and weight, as it would envolve way more effort to maintain such a powerful tone for such feat, though. Even though, subharmonics envolve an advanced skill. In this case, I don´t see a lot of space for it to go out with any "agressive and effortless darkness", ya know? Overall, it´s the best video about vocal range series, I have ever watched and heard, boy! PS: Always be caught about the information that is transmited to you, not everything that is said is pure fact. In this context, some people don´t have enough hearing experience, so they tell things that they think they know how to distinghish from a certain vocal register from another. Not trying to offend anyone, once again.

5:25 THIS ISNT LEE SUN HEE LOL. This is Moon Joo-ran (문주란) who is a contralto. Lee Sun-hee has a very high voice and not this much lower range. Not even remotely as low. You put two different singers for low and high. The second singer is Lee. And this wouldn't be accurate either as Lee has G5s. And A LOT of F5s.

sorry but this is false, chest can’t go this high, or it shouldn’t anyway. chest is the lowest part of your range. this was mixed voice. even when screaming, you resort to mixed voice if it sounds higher. chest voice usually breaks into mixed in octave 4

I dont know exaclty if you re a tenor or Baritone since you didnt develop the upper register and the full chest note (which is A4 for tenors and G4 for Baritons, the rest to C5 is basically chest mix). Tenors and Baritones can surely expand their range down with the Vocal Fry and Subharmonics but its not as full as basses (unless you have longer and thicker vocal cords than usual), ingressive is a cheaty way for reach those notes.I'll suggest you to develop more the upper range (mix voice A5 baritones and C6 Tenors) and the pitch. Sorry for bad english

Some of these I agree with, some of them I don't. A combination of both. Many of these rockstars singing low "chest" notes sound like they're frying to me. Some of these high notes also sound rather mixed-ish such as Xeesf's and Jordan's.

Bobby's "chest" note is very clearly a fry note. a good fry might i add, but still fry. next person bottoms out at a Bb1, not A1, and it's splits into fry past C. okay 95% of these singer's "chest notes" are a stretch. they either 1 aren't chest at all or 2 they don't even hit the note you claim that they're hitting or 3 they just growl it out and randomly happen to hit a noise resembling a low note.
@alexkarlsson66020 күн бұрын
It is. A lot of those super low relaxed morning voice notes sound pretty fry like but that's still chest. Now if it's a singable note or not is another question. The answer is no.
