Tried "Simply Piano" - I even bought a $100CAD dongle for my Casio to use Simply Piano - for a month to test it (free). It was fine. But then I got "Piano for All" and I think this is a game changer. I've only used it for a couple of days but I really really really like the videos, and found that not being interactive with the lessons (ie. if I hit a key, the key is also hit in the lesson) is not a big deal at all. In fact, it's nicer that I don't have the pressure of being perfect all the time with hitting the correct keys. Anyway, the interface of Piano for All is intuitive, easy to use, and fun.

This was an excellent tutorial for beginners of the Didgeridoo, it took no time at all to learn the basics :)

I am an old man but I love the drums and I have a question for you, what type of software etc. will I need if all I want to do is record the music that I am listening to and the electronic drums that I have ? I am not interested in mixing and all that fancy stuff .

Hate to be that guy. But å rimshot is a Snap on the rim of the snare drum. It's in the name. The badumtssh is called a sting.

You are absolutely right. For some reason people still call the sting a rimshot. 🤷♂️

This is Not a good recorder, but a good tin whistle. Your recorder tone is very beginnerlike, your tin whistle tone is much better . The comparison is not fair. The difference is not in the Instruments, it is in the quality and your technique.

I was playing beauty and the beast and my low c went out of tune and I don’t know why. Thanks! Edit: I didn’t want to try find a hammer and used a paint brush. Went right back to matching all the other notes! (I have mine lower than my tuner I just got says because I have always had them lower like that. They all harmonise nicely anyways)

I was an original backer of the Lumi Keys and I enjoyed it for the year after it arrived. It lingered in a drawer until I got it out just today, now that I finally have some time to pick it up again. I was truly disgusted to learn I can't use the app without a ridiculously priced subscription. I don't care about learning famous songs they have to pay licensing for - I just want the lessons part. The fact that I can no longer use a device I fully paid for, well this should be illegal frankly.

So much moaning - yeah you need a subscription but so what? Have you guys spent £30 a week on a piano teacher come visit and waste hundreds over 6 months just learning ColdPlays Yellow? This device is unique, cool and actually a money saver.

I think if you just want to memorize some songs that it's a great option. As far as cost effectiveness, if you learn to read music, all you need to do is get the sheet music for the song you want to learn and you can do anything. Definitely harder to do, though. I'd agree that not all piano teachers are created equal.

Thanks a bunch for your explanation about circular breathing. I've always wondered how didgeridoo players can breathe in and out at the same time, which, it turns out isn't actually the case. I can't do it myself, as I just learned about it from watching your video, but now I can certainly understand the concept and how it works once you've mastered the technique 🙂👍

I started with Ben Hewlet Udemy course. I got so demotivated in section 2, which is basically a crash course. I mean, why one should put "seven day crash" before the actual course? And I am absolutely not able to do any decent exercises. So demotivating. I feel like quitting. I will update this answer if I survive and find motivation again to continue
@SoundAdventurerАй бұрын
here's hoping the best for you. I think the harmonica is actually way harder than I thought it was going to be. you need a lot of dexterity and endurance to play it beyond just breathing through it. if that helps at all, you are doing a really hard instrument!

I really want to learn this instrument but I have an over bite will this make it harder to play or impassible to play? I want to know before I spend my money on something I can’t do.
@SoundAdventurerАй бұрын
You might have to try to find out. I have a slight overbite and it hasn't been a problem. If anything it will just change the angle that you hold the harp, but I don't think it should impact it unless it's severe. But a good one is only $15-20 so the price of finding out isn't too big, fortunately.
