A rebuild would probably need the Magpies to move out for some time. Where would they play? Gateshead stadium could be temporarily expanded or the fans could swallow their pride and play at the stadium of light.

Option B is a non starter. The new East stand would cause right to light issues with Leazes terrace behind. Plus I’m not convinced that you could gain enough room for such a massive stand by moving the pitch a few metres. KZfaqr Tyneside Life seems to think Option C is the likely option but the pitch wouldn’t be moved quite as much as this video suggests. The East stand would still need to be smaller than the others albeit not as small as it is now and it could blend better with the rest of the stadium.
